What a Senior Marketing Manager does at Visa
The individual will be responsible for delivering strategic and tactical marketing solutions to our clients in Vietnam by actively promoting Visa’s Marketing Value Added Services (VAS) and Solutions in partnership with the regional Partner Marketing Services team, the Business Development team as well as Visa’s Consulting & Analytic teams.
Importantly, the role will lead and design Marketing VAS proposals for clients and partners, forecast and manage the VAS opportunity pipeline, participate in regional business updates, and work closely with the Business Development team, the regional Partner Marketing Services Team, and external agencies to ensure the effective delivery of revenue and margins.
The secondary scope of this role is to lead and implement consumer marketing projects and co-marketing with clients as assigned to support Visa’s strategic priorities and client’s businesses.
The Senior Manager will report and work collaboratively with the Head of Marketing, Vietnam and Laos, and based in Hanoi.
Key Responsibilities:
Bring the “best of Visa” marketing to our key clients and work cohesively with the Visa marketing community locally, regionally, and globally, as well as the local Vietnam Business Development, Product, Visa Consulting & Analytic teams.
Develop deeper client partnerships and keep regular engagements via business reviews, marketing updates, events and forums.
Generate new revenue streams by providing Marketing VAS holistically including consumer insight, marketing strategy, creative services, card design, marketing execution, media planning and deployment, activation, events, measurement, global/ regional/ local sponsorships, and marketing consulting services to support client’s objectives of driving acquisition, activation, usage, and retention.
Generate VAS by activating sponsorship portfolio of global platforms (FIFA, Olympics, Shanghai Fashion Week, MAMA, Visa Cash App Formula 1 team, etc.) as well as exploring local sponsorship and partnerships.
Be responsible for Marketing VAS or co-marketing client engagements and project proposals / pitching in partnership with the respective Business Development Team.
Work closely with all relevant marketing and finance teams, locally and regionally, and external agencies to ensure the effective delivery of revenue and margins associated to Marketing VAS commitments.
Manage and report the revenue pipeline, project status, successes and challenges related to Marketing VAS as required for templates, forums, and ad-hoc requests. Closely track project implementation and closure for revenue recognition as forecast.
Take charge of administrative deliverables related to client marketing project management and VAS including but not limited to marketing approvals, procurement processes, contract management and VIK process management in full compliance with Visa’s policy and process.
Plan, execute, and report Visa-led consumer marketing campaigns and co-marketing campaigns with key clients, partners, and regional Marketing Hub team as assigned to support Visa’s strategic priorities as well as client’s business.
Be responsible to oversee marketing activities and events as assigned and upon business context and requirements. Participate in the internal business agenda, activities, and Visa events/ forums cross-functionally as assigned and act as Visa’s brand custodian to ensure all marketing materials adheres to internal branding guidelines.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
