The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

• Conduct complex and sensitive public trust and national security adjudications of background investigations; employee and contractor misconduct investigations; worker's compensation fraud investigations; TOIG referral investigations; and other special administrative investigations or investigative inquiries that may lead to criminal investigations requiring referral to the TOIG.
• Conduct extensive research and analysis of applicable laws and regulations as well as other materials such as operating manuals, union contracts, etc.
• Prepare factual and analytical adjudicative reports, identify, address, and evaluate issues in the investigation relevant to the adjudication. Initiate and develop additional investigations arising from the original assignment. Provide a final written adjudicative summary report of investigative findings and determinations.
• Conduct complex, comprehensive, and sensitive adjudications.
• Review, evaluate, and adjudicate reports of investigation, personnel security files, and other records to assess the reliability, loyalty, suitability, and trustworthiness of employees and contractors in sensitive and non-sensitive positions or access to classified information, resources, and material which could adversely affect the national security, public welfare, or the efficiency of the Federal service.

• Is primary point of contact for administrative functions related to management, human resources, and financial programs, to include but not limited to the Government Purchase Card (GPC) program, facilities management program, DTIC Policy, etc.
• Supports DTIC Correspondence Action Tracking Management System (CATMS), reviewing and assigning incoming CATMS actions from OSD Principal Staff Elements to determine applicability, response requirements, and the DTIC entity to prepare the response.
• Conducts comprehensive reviews of DTIC policies for annual updates or revision. Leads coordination with building manager on physical facility support.
• Manages the DTIC GPC program, evaluating policies, processes, and resources required for optimal utilization.
• Coordinates regularly with the Defense Logistics Agency on facility management, Equal Employment Opportunity policies and programs, and GPC program.

• Serve as Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a designated work area within the medical treatment facility (MTF).
• Work under the general supervision of the Physical Therapist (PT).
• Perform day-to-day duties with the supervisor providing general guidelines regarding the nature of therapeutic activities and the program in general.
• Under the direction of the PT, plan, coordinate, and administer diverse physical therapy programs.

• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• This position will consist of approximately 50% field and captive animal studies, 30% laboratory work, and 20% data analysis, management, and archiving.
• Perform a variety of field, captive animal, and laboratory procedures, including the use of BSL-2 and BSL-3 animal and laboratory facilities.
• Work independently in the field and laboratory with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and conduct field and captive animal studies designed to assess the risk of pathogen transmission among wildlife, domestic animals, and humans.
• Use PIT tags and animal trapping devices such as mist nets, target nets, crow traps, Sherman traps, Tomahawk traps.
• Immobilize and euthanize under field conditions; collect and process biological specimens (e.g., blood and tissue).
• Handle specimens that potentially contain infectious agents, such as viruses and bacteria.
