In this position, you will serve as the agency contact responsible for the dissemination of emergency management information to the general public. Typical assignments include:

• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with key representatives within FEMA programs and other External Affairs divisions
• Advising agency managers and senior leaders on the potential external affairs ramifications of proposed policy statements or agency actions
• Drafting, editing, and finalizing a variety of products including External Affairs guidance, talking points, speeches, feature articles, OpEds, newsletters, pamphlets, website content, fact sheets, crisis communication plans, and other products as requested
• Determining appropriate style and format based upon subject, intended audience, and individual using the product
• Will frequently deploy to areas within the region for periods up to 90 days or more to support disaster operations

• Serve as Assistant Transportation Coordinator; obtain pricing information from the Transportation Services Division, prepare and submit Motor Transportation Requests to the Director for approval, and transmit completed paperwork for funding.
• Store equipment and supplies, issue expendable and non-expendable supplies and equipment, and manage inventory.
• Research vendor sources, product availability, deliverability, and cost.
• Establish and maintain sufficient stock levels, ensure proper storage procedures are used to avoid damage and organize and arrange items in a manner that will ensure easy access and inventory.
• Analyze office requirements for new or replacement office equipment, furniture, supplies, materials, repair parts, and services.

• Ensures parents, children, youth, and visitors properly sign into the program prior to passing the reception area of the facility. Monitors children’s departure to ensure only authorized individuals remove them from the building.
• Registers/terminates children/youth within the CYS program and/or waiting list database. Utilizes the Child and Youth Management System (CYMS) to record transactions for customers and to enter data into predefined categories for reports and tracking.
• Provides administrative support including mail preparation, copying, distribution, correspondence, memorandums, briefings, Daily Activity Reports, and other requirements for day-to-day operations.
• Articulates policies relating to patron fees, waiting lists, enrollments, terminations, and program events. Coordinates vacancies and reservations for the hourly care program as required.

• Coordinate the administrative aspects of the credentialing program.
• Monitor compliance of provider peer review, Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) to ensure compliance with Joint Commission andother regulatory standards.
• Record and complete meeting minutes.
• File and scan documents, archive files for providers who have out-processed the credentials office.
• Prepare privileged and non-privileged provider profiles and enters required information concerning education, training, licensure, performance, and other pertinent required data.

• Synthesize rehabilitation or injury surveillance data gathered from H2F activities and creates reports on the effectiveness of H2F program.

Works under the general direction of the Recreation Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor of Recreation. The requirements of the position include knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of the broad field of recreation.

Supervises the operation of the recreation and leisure time program. Solicits suggestions from the inmate population, plans and creates recreational activities based upon research, purchases the equipment and supplies needed for such programs, draws up necessary tournament rosters, etc., and assures that appropriate recreational activities take place in a timely fashion.

Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing special recreation programs, i.e., yoga, varsity softball, aerobics, etc.

Assist the Recreation Supervisor and the other recreation/sports specialists in planning, organizing, advising on and administering recreation activities and programs which promote the physical, creative and social development for the inmate population.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staffs correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
