Main Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Learning the various NDT techniques and ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with the written scheme of examination in-line with the appropriate standards and procedures.
• Capable of working as part of a team when carrying out NDT, with a view to working alone.
• Photographing defects and carrying out physical measurements of local thinned areas
• Liaising with the site contact upon completion of NDT.
• Maintain an accurate record of site results with the intention of transferring onto specific reporting template.
• Writing of NDT reports to a suitable standard detailing all areas of test, restrictions and results.
• Ensure that all work is being performed efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
• Work within Axiom’s inspection quality programme to maintain UKAS accreditation.

This full-time role is based in Teesside combining both office and site work.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Skills:

The primary purpose of the position is to operate various engineering and construction equipment. Major duties include:

• Operates gas or diesel powered engineering and construction equipment with wheeled or crawler-type traction, such as road graders, tractors with bulldozers or angle dozer blades, front-end loaders, backhoes, wheel loaders, trench diggers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments.
• Operates equipment to push, pull, pile, excavate, backfill, grade, or level earth and /or refuse.
• Uses equipment to perform such functions as cutting, moving, digging, grading, and rolling earth, sand, stone, and other materials to maintain ditches, road shoulders and beds.
• Road maintenance including winter snow removal on mountain roads in winter storm conditions

Floyd Co, Virginia - The duty station is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Rocky Knob Maintenance Area in Floyd, Co, Va. Floyd is a very rural area with most major amenities being at least 30 minutes from duty station.

• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Serves as a front-line USDA representative in international negotiations with high level foreign government officials.
• As a key U.S. representative leads or participates in intensive pre-negotiation preparation and strategy development for plant health standards.
• Contact point between the DA and the PPQ Support Staff; International Services, Veterinary Services, and the Foreign Agricultural Service on trade issues management and international standards.
• Coordinates activities between the PPQ staff to ensure cooperation and effective program operations.

• Applying the full range of carpentry skills and techniques to remove, disassemble, repair, replace, install and maintain various building structural components to accomplish repairs, alterations, additions and occasionally new construction
• Using mathematics and performing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Using common carpenter's rule/square in terms of measuring material to the nearest 1/32 of an inch

The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to the Service Chief in planning and administering the operations for the assigned Service. The incumbent of this position performs a wide variety of technical and administrative duties in support of Service operations and functions. Administrative and clerical duties are auxiliary to function and staff of the Senior Administrative Officer.

Major duties include, but are not limited to:

• Schedules appointments/conferences, and coordinates meetings.
• Performs clerical/administrative duties such as independently managing Chief Nurse calendar adhering to preferences and current commitments.
• Makes administrative arrangements as required to include travel, hotel, airline and rental car reservations, conferences or meeting rooms, equipment, supporting materials, files, and attendance for Chief and other staff.
• Processes incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication.
