About the Job
The Managing Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, developing and executing business strategies, and ensuring the overall growth and success of the organization. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with extensive experience in operations management, project management, and compliance, capable of driving efficiency and fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accountable for developing and executing a strategic plan to significantly grow the business, delivering tangible and measurable outcomes in line with the company's overall objectives.
• Build a positive relationship with stakeholders to grow the technical capability for technology commercialisation.
• Interface and build sustaining relationships with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
• Manage and develop a diverse team of employees and strategic partners to provide commercial and technological expertise across industries and sectors.
• Demonstrate excellent skills at negotiating business deals including license deals, agreements, term sheets, and other business collaboration.
• Confidently lead internal and client meetings, offer knowledgeable observations and suggestions; establish credibility by insights shared; encourage and motivate others to communicate ideas.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
• Ensure all operations adhere to local, regional, and international regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Qualification & Requirements
• A good degree in Life Science, Business/Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Finance, Management or other relevant field from a leading university.
• 15+ years of relevant working experiences in a senior management position in one or more of the following: Venture Capital, Business development/management/administration, investment facilitation, corporate finance or related areas.
• Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated track record of work on issues related to enterprise development, e.g., Professional experience with a seed fund, business accelerator, or SME support organizations.
• Experience in creating public and private partnerships at national and international levels.
• Strong set of personal values including integrity, honesty and service orientation.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, coach and develop the team, including people from different backgrounds and culture.
• Practical experiences in piloting, implementing, scaling up ideas/solutions.
• Strong analytical capability, with financial analysis and financial modelling skills.
• Self-motivated individual and able to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment with competing demands for resources.
