What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is looking for an Associate Director with deep technical experience to support oversight, assessment, and project management efforts on state and local government technology projects. This position will:

• Provide end to end management of IT client engagements - detailed project plans, scope and budget definition, resource allocation, product delivery, maintenance

• Organize and facilitate project timelines with clients and team, including generating estimates for project complexity and duration

• Serve as point person in client communications and manage developer/client interactions

• Provide leadership and mentoring to team members on project development and client management skills with in State and Local Government.

• Manage State and Local Government client relationships and expectations throughout project lifecycle in order to build confidence, deliver excellence, and sell consulting services

• The candidate must be a strong written and oral communicator and be comfortable interacting with clients and serving as a trusted advisor to senior government leadership

• Practice development responsibilities include supporting the creation and growth of new service solution offerings, authoring thought leadership and white papers, and collaborating with other segment technology leaders.

• Managerial and supervisorial responsibilities include mentoring, coaching, and career and performance management of consulting staff.

• Monitor the technical aspects of the project and the vendor and/or client activities by providing input and guidance that supports efficiencies to the client and project.

• Monitor the scope, schedule, and budget of the technology projects.

• Support the client management and stakeholders to plan for and address risks and issues as they occur, to ensure that the project remains on schedule and within budget.

• Coordinate teams including establishing operating models and implementing methodologies to deliver global complex and high-risk multi-year programs.

• Develop and manage master integration management plans, critical dependency milestone trackers, and dashboards, tracking key program status updates and issues/risks, performing action item management for complex programs, including management of interface with infrastructure, communications, cyber, development and finance workstreams, utilizing project management tools;

• Lead and support business development by identifying new opportunities and assisting with proposal development.

What You Will Need:

• Minimum of SEVEN (7) years of experience with FIVE (5) years in a lead capacity with technology projects

• Minimum of SEVEN (7) years of experience with FIVE (5) years in lead capacity in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation)

• Minimum of SEVEN (7) years of overall IT industry experience

• Bachelors degree from an accredited university

• Experience managing and delivering large scale (10k users & $10M) projects using Agile, hybrid and waterfall delivery methodology.

• Showing extensive program management skills including the ability to liaise with technical and business teams and clearly articulate technology concepts to business audiences

• This role requires someone to reside in Sacramento or in the surrounding, commutable areas to Sacramento

The annual salary range for this position is $144,400.00-$216,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

What you’ll be doing

As Director, Investor Relations & Performance Measurement, you will be accountable for providing value-add financial and strategic analysis to support IR and Performance Measurement activities. The role requires financial analysis and modelling skills and an understanding of capital markets. You will also require strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with other departments within Finance, all business units, Corporate Communications and Risk Management. As a Director, you are responsible for identifying and communicating the conclusions of your analysis and providing recommendations on next steps. You will also be given the opportunity to oversee and help develop junior members of the IR&PM team including interns, co-ops and/or CPA rotation students.

How you’ll succeed

Oversee Teacher Development Strategy (25%)

Lead the Instructional Leader Development Strategy (25%)

• Lead implementation of DSST’s Instructional Coaching Vision, ensuring coaching is content-specific, supports curriculum implementation and is aligned to DSST’s differentiated teacher development pathways.  

• Design yearlong scope and sequence of professional development, including summer training and monthly training, for Instructional Coaches.  Evaluate the impact of professional development activities on impact of coaching, leveraging data to make informed adjustments and improvements to the approach of instructional leadership development. 

• Collaborate with content Directors to execute a coherent school support model that develops the capacity of school based coaches to implement DSST’s Instructional Coaching Vision and improve student learning. 

• Design and lead monthly School Director instructional training in collaboration with Managing Directors, ensuring coherence to school coaches development experiences. 

Collaborates closely with other members of the broader Schools & Academic Leadership team, School Directors, instructional coaches, and external organizations for increased impact (20%)

• Collaborate with school leadership to assess instructional needs and support the adoption of effective teaching strategies and practices that enhance student learning.

• Forge and manage partnerships with external organizations, educational institutions, and experts to introduce cutting-edge teaching practices and resources to DSST Public Schools.

The Capital Markets business is a recognized leader in the industry specializing in investment banking advisory services, corporate lending and research. The successful applicant will provide Business Management support to Global Markets and Direct Financial Services (GM & DFS). The role will act as a liaison between the businesses (front office) and the rest of the Bank to ensure all business strategies, initiatives, projects, operational issues are addressed and resolved. The incumbent will be the primary individual responsible for Business Management functions across the Global Markets & DFS business. Oversee governance and compliance functions/issues on behalf of the GM & DFS business, including - Ensure compliance with Change Initiative Risk Assessments (CIRAs) with respect to new initiatives; Support execution of new contracts and agreements with vendors and partners in collaboration with Corporate Services, Legal, and other internal stakeholders; Accountable to ensure the completion of all GM & DFS governance functions –User System Access, Contract Review, etc.; Oversight of the Business Continuity Management plans and milestones as Accountable Officer for GM & DFS; Support GM & DFS business management team, front office and internal partners in the implementation of new compliance and governance requirements; Management, oversight of audits and related follow-up items including coordinating and responding to auditor/regulator requests, findings and reports; Working with Capital Markets Governance & Control teams to ensure suitable and effective controls are in place and help manage and support the coordination of the deficiency management process across GM & DFS;

• Finance/MIS - Work with business, Business Managers and/or Finance Business Support to develop. Management and Board Presentations; Quarterly Operational Risk Dashboard and analysis; and other presentations.

The U.S. Consumer business at Bank of Montreal has been transformed with the recent acquisition of Bank of the West. We are now on a multi year journey to modernize and scale the US Consumer business with an aspiration to significantly grow over the next few years. Currently, we offer multiple products including Mortgage, Home Equity, Indirect RV/Marine, Credit Card, Other Direct, Business Banking and Deposits.

We are seeking a Managing Director to join the U.S. Consumer Risk team. This is people leadership position within the 2nd line of defense, which will report into the Head of U.S. Consumer Risk and will be responsible for providing independent risk oversight over the various lines of businesses. The incumbent should be a strategic thinker with sound business acumen and a passion for using advanced data and analytics to make business decisions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to continue evolving the risk management framework, 2nd line control and oversight processes and discipline around consumer lending as BMO pivots towards a Category 3 bank in US. The incumbent will work closely with heads of the businesses and staff groups to fulfill the growth vision and ensure adequate controls are in place to meet the risk appetite for the business. This is a highly visible role with substantial interaction with multiple stakeholders including senior management and regulators.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Provides independent risk oversight of the consumer lending businesses in U.S. P&BB, ensuring credit risks are appropriately and prudently managed within the risk tolerance for this business.

• Ensures the quality, performance, and credit risk profile of the U.S. P&BB retail portfolio are monitored and reported to Senior Executive, management committees, and RMC on a timely basis.

• Provides transparency and insight into the bank’s risk appetite to enable the business unit to understand and optimize risk return trade-offs within enterprise risk tolerances, while reinforcing the principle that business units are accountable for all their risks.

• Presents value-added risk context, oversight of credit risk systems, models, scorecards, credit exception underwriting, return on capital risk assessments to support strategic business planning and new product development risk assessment.

• Acts as the risk stripe owner for consumer credit risk in the U.S. and provides the required leadership and strategic direction. Executing within the constraints defined in Corporate Policies and Corporate Standards, approves, and recommends scorecards, approves credit underwriting exceptions for all consumer credit transactions for U.S. P&BB, approves and recommends automated adjudication, and approval of new products or processes related to consumer lending.

• Ensures Bank’s credit risk taking policies, authority structures, procedures and processes are adhered to through direct involvement in credit transaction authorizations and portfolio management processes.

• Directs the development and implementation of proper quantitative reporting and analytic tools and processes across all U.S. Consumer loan portfolios. Leads, synthesizes, and communicates the analysis of data to proactively identify and understand the drivers of portfolio risk, and forecast portfolio performance.

• Works with key executives within ERPM, and the U.S. P&BB Consumer/Wealth Management line of business, to direct the quality, performance, and respective credit risk profile of this significant business segment. Interfaces closely with other consumer credit risk roles within ERPM. Serves as primary point of contact for the line of business in all related product initiatives and discussions pertaining to setting the optimal risk appetite by providing independent risk oversight and ensuring that growth initiatives are optimized for profitability; both risk and return.

• Ensures the documentation and delivery of accurate, concise reporting of levels and trends in material risks, emerging risks, asset quality, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and risk limits. Defines Consumer credit risk strategies and ensures credit risk-related operating procedures are consistent across all Consumer portfolios, and in alignment with applicable policies and standards. Leads the deep quantitative analysis of data to proactively identify and understand the drivers of portfolio risk and forecast portfolio performance.

Additional Accountabilities:

• Provides independent oversight on the performance of U.S. Consumer credit risk strategies, monitor trends, and identify risks and opportunities.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

DSST Public Schools (DSST) is seeking a dedicated and visionary Director of Humanities to join our team and lead transformative efforts in humanities instruction across our network of schools. The Director of Humanities, will play a pivotal role in selecting and implementing curriculum, fostering teacher development, and ensuring that all students have access to culturally responsive and rigorous instruction. This role will be responsible for the strategic oversight of the Humanities Team, directly leading and managing the Senior Manager of Middle School Humanities, the Senior Manager of High School Humanities, the Humanities Curriculum Specialist, and the Manager of Instructional Equity. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

Develop Team for Impactful Content and Curriculum Programming and School Support (40%):

• Lead the development of a highly effective team to implement DSST's humanities instruction across the network of schools.

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members to ensure they are equipped to support schools effectively.

• Collaborate with school leaders and instructional staff to identify areas for improvement and provide targeted support to enhance humanities instruction.

Lead Curriculum Adoption, Implementation and Revision (20%):

• Drive the adoption and implementation of humanities curriculum across the network, ensuring that the process is inclusive, transparent, grounded in clear criteria, and informed by culturally and linguistically responsive practices. 

• Implement change management best practices to facilitate smooth transitions to new curriculum materials, providing support and resources to teachers and school leaders throughout the process.

• Facilitate stakeholder engagement in the curriculum adoption and implementation  process, soliciting feedback from teachers, students, parents, and community members to inform decision-making.

• Establish ongoing feedback loops to gather input on curriculum effectiveness and revise materials as needed, ensuring continuous improvement over time.

Collaborate for Coherence in Teacher and Coach Development (20%):

• Work collaboratively across the organization to ensure coherence between teacher development, coach development, and curriculum implementation in the humanities.

• Partner with the assessment and data team to align assessment practices with curriculum goals and objectives, ensuring that assessment data informs instructional decision-making.

• Collaborate with other content area directors and instructional leaders to integrate humanities instruction into cross-curricular initiatives and school-wide priorities.

Lead Network Approach to Literacy Intervention (15%):

• Develop and manage a network-wide approach to literacy intervention, providing strategic direction and support to schools in implementing evidence-based literacy practices.

• Collaborate with school leaders, literacy coaches, and interventionists to identify students in need of additional support and develop targeted intervention plans to address their needs.

• Monitor the effectiveness of literacy interventions and make adjustments as needed to ensure all students are making progress towards literacy proficiency.

Additional Duties (5%)

• Play an active leadership role in building and sustaining Home Office culture

• Engage with our school communities to actively build relationships between our schools and the home office

• Participate in & support the execution of Home Office & Network-wide events

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required in Education, Humanities, or related field 

• At least 2 years experience leading in urban schools and/or communities with a focus on humanities instruction, instructional coaching and curriculum implementation

• At least 5 years of Humanities teaching experience in a school, Charter Management Organization or other educational organization

• Experience at a high-performing charter school highly preferred but not required
