Are you looking to become a part of a multi-functional team of commercial, technical, and regional partners? We are seeking a passionate Senior Brand Manager to join our Hair Care business! You will identify business opportunities and work with the multi-functional team across Singapore, Japan and Korea to build cohesive commercial plans! You are expected to lead and collaborate with different subject matter experts to deliver end-to-end marketing plans for the region!
Your Team
You and other Senior Brand Managers (each handling different portfolios across our Focus Markets – Japan and Korea) will report to the Brand Director, covering Hair Care, APAC Focus Markets. You will work extensively with colleagues from Consumer Market Knowledge, Sales, Communications, Finance etc.
What Success Looks Like
- Deliver Scorecard Business Targets, in line with the goals of the Business Unit for region
- Deliver Category growth, market penetration and gaining of New Users via Products Innovation Design
- Successful Design and Deployment of Marketing Toolkits for Hair Care brands.
Responsibilities of the role
- Brand Strategy: Owns the Integrated Brand Plan, Brand Strategy and Initiative Masterplan to create and execute brand strategies for key projects and initiatives to deliver brand growth. Drives investment decisions to maximise profitability.
- Brand Planning & Executions: Identify consumers' needs across Japan & Korea for P&G's Hair Care products, lead consumer research in developing a qualified brand concept, benefit and claims that addresses the consumers’ unmet needs.
- Collaboration: Work with R&D and technical team to design the right package & formula to win locally with key customers and/or channels.
- Collaborate with local Delivery teams to craft promotion/ pricing strategy and customer/ distributor trade terms. Communicate with market partners, stakeholders and suppliers across Korea and Japan to drive business initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelors / Master’s Degree ideally in a business related field
- Min. 5-7 years of proven experience in strategic brand management, consulting or consumer journey design experience
- Digital Marketing skills and experience
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Cross-cultural communication skills
- Curiosity, forward-thinking courageous leadership
- Business proficiency in the Japanese or Korean language and strong market knowledge of Japan and Korea is highly preferred as the role requires local consumer understanding to develop brand equity and marketing strategies for these markets
