Up to £42,000 per annum based on skills and experience
Based in: Covent Garden, London
The Royal Ballet and Opera continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. Our Covent Garden theatre has been at the heart of London and British cultural life for three centuries. We are home to two world-class Companies: The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera.
The Royal Opera House describes the place we work, not who we are. The whole is always more than the sum of its parts - we may be a House, but three quarters of our audience experience what we do outside this building. While our Covent Garden theatre is the nerve centre, the impact and influence of the organisation can be felt in every corner of the country, and around the world and our digital products sit at the heart of this through our website (which accounts for over a third of the organisation`s revenue) and RBO Stream.
Reporting to the new position of Product Lead, we are seeking to recruit a Product Manager who will work with a range of stakeholders to bridge the gap between the technical and business worlds in the design of digital products, always following user centred design principles. They will work on a range of current products and contribute to the development of new solutions, collaborating with a multi-functional team in an agile and iterative way, delivering products that improve end user experience whilst also contributing to organisational objectives.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and a positive approach to utilising technology to solve business problems. They will be curious, passionate and innovative, able to think outside of the box and understand both technical requirements and business priorities.
They will be able to evidence:
The ability to capture, synthesise and share customer insight and views with a diverse range of stakeholders An understanding of product development and product life-cycle management, including agile methodology The ability to understand and prioritise the needs of the product`s users, either audience members or in-house teams The ability to make both hypothesis and evidence-based decisions to inform detailed backlog and strategic roadmap High level project management skills, with the ability to deliver products effectively and efficiently, to budget and deadlines A proven track record of working effectively with multidisciplinary teams
The Royal Ballet and Opera is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment in which everyone can thrive. We particularly welcome applications from those who are from a global majority background and/or those who are disabled, as they are under-represented within our organisation. As a Disability Confident Employer, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the essential minimum criteria for our vacancies.
