The successful candidate will work with us to provide strategic and operational management of our contractual and regulatory compliant supported housing services. Job Description

What you will need to be successful:

- Demonstrable previous experience of successfully leading teams and delivering similar services to groups of customers in either a supported housing, support, care or other relevant environment.

- Experience of contract negotiation and tendering for new contracts for the provision of services.

- Strong knowledge of issues relating to homelessness including current legislation, government policy, the benefits framework and any relevant client support pathways

- Experience of successfully managing a number of complex projects and business as usual tasks at the same time.

Objectives

Principal Duties

To ensure that any buildings acquired or developed are handed over within the timetable and to the financial envelope and specification agreed for the project.
Co-ordinating the pre-construction development process including leadership of regular project meetings.
To project manage the property, design and building elements of residential home transfer on a project-by-project basis.
Negotiate terms of agreement, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses, overseeing and liaising with the professional team (including architect and engineer) and local project manager to ensure efficiencies and avoid delays.
Actively participating in any initiative that seek to reduce total development costs by targeting reductions in development costs/fees and related expenditure.

Liaising with appointed employers’ agents to ensure projected build costs will be achieved.

General Management
The Development Manager will be responsible for budgeting, organisation, implementation and scheduling of the projects, prior to Practical Completion and thereafter fit out the care homes and the transfer of the services to the Operations Team to deliver care service.
The client-side Development Manager will be required to plan, execute, and finalise projects according to deadlines and within the financial envelope.
Practice Expectations

Generating appropriate development/financial appraisals and liaising with supporting functions in preparing these financial models and appraisals.
Assistant and monitoring valuations for the purpose of drawdowns by the contractor.
Demonstrable experience in property development, preferably within the Healthcare & Extra Care Markets, taking projects from post-acquisition through construction to finished product handover to the companies operations team.

The Ideal Candidate

Good understanding of land/property values and Red Book valuations.
Sound Knowledge of property laws of development
Confident, influencer and decision maker with drive and tenacity to hit financial targets.
Suitable candidates must to be able to drive and travel throughout the UK and preferably be qualified with a construction degree and be a member of the RICS or wishing to work towards.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and be required to provide weekly updates and monthly reports in relation to the project’s development.

The Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and Analytics Manager is responsible for the implementation, support and maintenance of a company’s specialized and internal HR systems, services, and applications. 

This role actively identifies areas of opportunity to improve existing HRIS processes, functionality and workflow, and maximize technological capabilities to reduce manual processes (i.e. employee movements, timekeeping and other systems)

The Estates & Facilities Management team are looking to appoint an experienced Building Services Manager who can confidently communicate with our stakeholders and lead on the delivery of building services to our academy partners.

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an Operational Manager at A Wilderness Way. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to growth. You will play a vital role in supporting the company to achieve key business objectives.

Working with our Head of Care, you will be responsible for leading a team of Registered Service Managers who oversee the management of children’s residential care homes.

The role is ideally suited to an existing Area Manager, Operations Manager, or experienced Registered Manager who has overseen the operational management of multiple children’s residential care homes.

Your role and responsibilities as Operational Manager

You will provide clear and consistent support, positive role modelling, supervision, performance management and appraisal for your Registered Managers, ensuring that we meet the needs of each individual child and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Through effective leadership, you will ensure that our services deliver outstanding levels of care, and that the financial and operating objectives are met.

You will liaise directly with our Commissioning and Placements Partner to ensure that we can offer the appropriate level of care to the children that we support.

You will ensure that our Registered Managers partner with the ‘Team Around the Child’ which includes our Multi-Disciplinary Team, education specialists, social workers, and external agencies.

You will review management information, monitor performance and produce reports relating to our children and our regulatory gradings.

You will promote our Vision and Values, demonstrating best practice in leadership and management whilst coaching and mentoring managers to support their development.

What we offer you

Your full-time salary up to £62,500 per annum, depending upon experience and qualifications.

It is our intention that the successful candidate will hold designated Responsible Individual status for a cluster of homes as part of their role, at an appropriate time and depending upon experience. This will be discussed at offer stage.
