We are looking to recruit a Legal assistant to be based in Ho Chi Minh office.

Key internal relationships: Partners, Directors, Senior Management and other key internal stakeholders

Working Hour: Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 12:30pm and from 2:00pm to 6:00pm

Main duties of the role
- Provide comprehensive legal research assistance to senior levels on various practice areas such as: energy, banking & finance, employment, real estate, technology etc.
- Assist senior levels with administrative tasks.
- Provide translation support.
- Assisting with document management
- Provide legal advice exclusively on behalf of the Firm and to clients of the Firm;
- Interact with licensing and other regulatory authorities as needed for the provision of advice to the Firm’s clients;
- Report to and take instructions from the Project Managers and any supervising legal advisers;
- Assist other legal advisers, administrative personnel, other management personnel, and the Firm, as required;
- Participate in knowledge management, professional development, and Firm administrative activities as requested;
- Other tasks not specifically listed in this document may be assigned from time to time.
Essential skills & proficiency
- Between 0-2 years of professional work experience in the law-firm;
- A good approach to problem solving, including lateral thinking ability;
- Excellent in communication in spoken and written English & Vietnamese;
- Good international-standard legal writing skills;
- Have an enthusiastic attitude towards building a career as a legal adviser/senior legal adviser;
- Ability to take the initiative and pay close attention to detail;
- Honesty, reliability, a strong work ethic and a commitment to strict confidentiality;
- Self-motivated and committed to self-improvement; and
- Able to work in a team and independently; and
- Microsoft Office suite proficient.
Desirable
- Prior work experience at a law firm;
- Strong in legal research skills
- Excellent proficiency in both English and Vietnamese
- Ability to manage time and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
