Apprenticeship Programme Lead - Inverness based

This role will be a programe lead and head new insight into the Apprenticeship scheme and be involved in all aspects of the programme to ensure its successful design, delivery and engagement.

This role involves working with students virtually and in-person as well as creating and maintaining strong industry partnerships.

The Role

By joining the team as an Apprenticeship Programme Lead, you will have the opportunity to be part of our success and support students by delivering engaging content to young people both virtually and face to face. You will work closely with our partners and volunteers throughout the UK to create and deliver an exciting informative programme to highlight apprenticeship opportunities in STEM careers.

• The role is £27-31k, based on skills and experience
• Fixed Term, 21 month contract.

• Location: Home working, but must be within travelling distance of the Scottish Highlands as this is one of the delivery hubs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage delivery and course content across the programme, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure their needs are met
• Be responsible for student recruitment and engagement targets throughout the programme
• Be accountable for the successful delivery against agreed milestones and costs.
• Recruit and retain industry partners for participation in the programme. If relevant, take part in or arrange networking events for local companies
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships between EDT and external organisations
• Maintain accurate records of activities and contacts for future reference and operate business activities within GDPR requirements
• Align output to the accredication requirements of the Industrial Cadets framework
• Deliver programmes, ensuring beneficiaries and other stakeholders receive a high-quality experience and all monitoring and evaluation data is captured in an accurate and timely manner.
• Use the CRM system to manage delivery, report track progress, ensuring that all relevant data is reviewed, managed and kept up to date
• Collaborate with the Marketing Team for effective digital marketing and events communication
• Maintain a good working knowledge of the full range of EDT programmes, activities and accreditations
• Day to day line management of one Apprenticeship Programme Officer

The duties and responsibilities of the Operations Overhead Linesperson are:

- Carrying out key inspection, maintenance & repair activities on our 132, 275 & 400kV Transmission overhead line networks.

- Responsible for the safety of yourself and colleagues, and act as ambassador for a strong safety culture in everything you do.

- Working outdoors in all weather, you may also be required to respond to emergency situations, we want to provide the best possible service to our stakeholders at all times.

- You may at times be required to work away from your base location area during the week and occasionally at weekends. Overnight accommodation and/ or out of pocket allowances will be provided, there will also be a requirement to undertake out of hours stand by duties.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Industry recognised OHL qualification and proven previous experience working at height on the electricity network.

- A qualification from a recognised overhead line training provider, experience and/ or a proven track record in construction, maintenance overhead line activities would be advantageous, however not essential as training will be provided.

- As this role requires travel to operational sites, a full UK driving license is desirable or willingness to obtain one upon application is acceptable and assistance can be provided.

- Knowledge of current business operations, maintenance activities, electrical systems and their geography would be beneficial but not essential as informative training will be provided.

- A high regard for safety, embedding yourself in our safety culture and adhering to guidelines in everything you do. Be comfortable in challenging any unsafe behaviours or attitudes, in relation to any unsafe practices.

Job Summary
To provide a clean, hygienic and malodour free environment for the residents, visitors and staff, maintaining a consistently high standard of service with exceptional standards of cleanliness which ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
To carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper to the required Company standard within the allocated area of work.
To ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
To maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
To correctly and safely use all cleaning equipment and to maintain it in a safe condition. Any defects in equipment must be reported to the Home Manager immediately.
To store all cleaning substances correctly in accordance with COSHH regulations and company policy.
To ensure the correct use of PPE.
To ensure compliance with the colour code systems within the home.
To consistently adhere to infection control policies.
To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.
To carry out other ad hoc duties as requested by the Head Housekeeper or Home Manager.
To ensure that all necessary documentation is completed daily.
To ensure trolleys are re-stocked at the end of the shift, equipment is left clean and ready for use and cleaning cupboards are left clean and tidy.
Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults.
To complete training on Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and be able to understand and implement SVA policies and procedures taking responsibility for reporting any safeguarding concerns to the senior person on duty or to the Home Manager.
