This post will be based in South Devon and Exeter. Delivery of the programme is through a mix of education and work related activity both 1:1 and group work.

Making it happen - your role

The successful candidate will:-

• Through community delivery - effectively engage with young people to motivate and encourage participation and meet the project outcomes.
• Through employer engagement and in work support ensure a sustainable integration into the labour market of young people 16 – 24 years old, in particular those with and education health care plan (EHCP) including young people with complex needs, at risk of social exclusion and young people from marginalised communities.
• Do this by planning and delivering a person centred accredited programme which supports young people to overcome their personal barriers. Interventions on their journey could include confidence building, CV writing, job searching and interview skills. Pathways to support the goals of the young people could include travel training, community projects, health & wellbeing, cooking, supported work tasters, supported work experience, supported internships and job trials.
• Have experience of working in an educational setting with young people who have special educational needs including social and emotional behaviour problems.
• Also need good IT and self-management skills and a flexible approach. You will also have the ability to market individuals or services, have an understanding of the supported employment process and basic knowledge of social enterprises.

United Response are looking for a Support Worker to join our team in Nailsea supporting two fun loving brothers who live within their own home.

No two days are the same working at this service as these brothers have many likes & interests to keep you busy.

One of their main passions is their love of food so pub Wednesdays and takeaway Fridays are a tradition in this house so we hope you’re a foodie! The guys here love their cars, so if you have a knowledge of cars, we’re sure you'll get along. However, this is not essential and they are both very easy to get along with.

Ever heard of ‘Are you being served’ and ‘Dad’s Army’? well these sorts of comedies are a huge hit with the guys you’ll be supporting, so be prepared for evenings of laughs and giggles! Key Purpose of the Role:
As a Credit Controller within the Sales Ledger team at United Response, you will play a vital role in managing the credit control function. You will be responsible for the timely collection of outstanding payments across a diverse ledger of high and low-value accounts while maintaining a high level of customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage and collect outstanding payments efficiently to support cash flow maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Service Oversight:

   • Ensure the smooth running of services, maintaining high standards of practice.
   • Oversee staff rota and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.

2. Staff Management:

   • Lead by example, modeling best practices for team members.
   • Conduct supervisions and observations of staff to ensure the delivery of services with dignity and respect.
   • Support staff in facilitating choice for the individuals in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act.

3. Administrative Duties:

   • Manage finances related to service operations.
   • Develop, update, and maintain support plans tailored to individual needs.
   • Prepare monthly summaries and reports for the Area Manager.

4. Collaboration and Coordination:

   • Work with Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) to ensure optimal outcomes for individuals being supported.
   • Participate in on-call duties, primarily providing telephone support and advice to services in the Nottinghamshire area.
   • Collaborate with the Service Manager for guidance and support in addressing issues.

5. Continuous Improvement:

   • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and high standards among the team.
   • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and relevant regulations.
