Role Overview

This is a varied generalist HR role with a mixture of complex ER cases and project work. These may be one off in nature or cyclical and will vary in size and may have short- or medium-term impacts.

The role

Working closely with various stakeholders within the Insurance and Functions Business Units, the role will provide advanced reward analysis, insight, solutions and support to complex problems. In addition, the role will be a key contributor to and/or leader of key deliverables of cyclical, and business facing reward activities and solutions across the Market Unit.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for the management, completion and/or delegation of key ad-hoc and/or cyclical reward activities e.g., analysis and modelling, monthly audit checks, bonus calculations etc.
• Lead on / be a significant contributor to the delivery of large key cyclical reward activities e.g., annual salary and bonus review, salary survey submission, pay range creation, gender and ethnicity pay gap reporting etc.
• Provide advanced ad-hoc and project driven analysis, insight, and support to Reward Partners on a wide range of complex reward related activities to support Business Unit success
• Be a key contributor the development, maintenance, and application of key reward frameworks e.g., job evaluation, pay governance etc. and lead on any updates/enhancements as required

What you’ll bring:

• Numerical and analytical with strong attention to detail
• Ability to present data and analysis in a clear and concise manner
• Previous demonstratable technical experience and expertise as a reward analyst or specialist
• Extensive experience with the use of advanced data analysis software (e.g., Excel) to create data models including the use of Excel skills such as pivot tables, and advanced formulas

Role Overview

• You will use a range of training methods to motivate and meet the needs of different learning styles both face to face and virtually
• Provide one-to-one support, coaching, and assessment of staff within the home to facilitate successful completion of inductions and training requirements
• You will analyse learning reports to identify and advise on training required   
• Own the relationship with a set number of Care Home Managers, holding formal monthly training meetings where you will be able to advise on all Learning and Development requirements that meet the Care Homes needs
• Reporting to the Learning and Development Business Partner, you ensure all training information is logged correctly on the system and kept up to date

Role Overview:

As Delivery Partner you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of People related change programmes while working with key stakeholders to deliver specific business outcomes.  This role will be an integral part of supporting our Health Services business unit to deliver its ambitious 2024 growth plans

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Master Data Management Specialist with a strong focus on managing customer master data. In this role, you will be part of the Data Strategy & Governance team working on a wide range of initiatives to ensure Bupa data in the UK is accurate, fit for our strategies and abides by our Data Governance Framework. You will assist and ensure data quality checks, solutions, controls, documents and processes are implemented and managed to an agreed tolerance level. Bupa databases are monitored for compliance to GDPR policies and standards, you are required to monitor and manage compliance.

• Manage end-to-end development and management of data quality processes in Bupa UK, and ensure that they abide by our Data Governance Framework.

• Interface with internal departments to capture requirements, ensuring they are understood, tasked and delivered within time and resource.

• Responsible for the security, access and usage of the relevant toolsets.

• Manage and resolve Master Data queries.

• Review workloads and analyse resource requirements.

• Facilitate the development of effective Master Data requirements through a solid understanding of the Bupa processes, the applications and the data.

• Assess organisational opportunities to improve data at source, ensuring we capture data accurately from the start and enforce departmental operation procedures, applicable security practices, production policies and support needs to ensure that the quality of service provided meets customer requirements.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, or a related field.

• Proven experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles, preferably with a focus on customer master data.

• Proven experience with managing Master Data Processes in an enterprise organisation

• Proven experience with managing bulk cleansing of Master Data in complex systems

• Experience and motivation for developing, producing and maintaining easy to understand data process documentation and controls.

• Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.

• In-depth knowledge of customer data management concepts, including data modelling, data integration, and data quality management.

• Familiarity with data governance tools, data cataloguing tools, and customer master data management systems.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify data-related issues and propose effective solutions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Case Referrals Adviser

Working in our Group legal function you’ll play a key part in helping our customer facing colleagues deliver exceptional standards of customer service and patient care. 

As a Case Referrals Adviser you’ll identify and consider potential statutory and professional body referrals to comply with i) our statutory obligations as a regulated activity provider and ii) our responsibility to ensure the quality of registered healthcare professionals is maintained. You will manage ongoing professional body cases within the UK geography, including providing support to those assisting in the process and being the point of contact for external parties. You’ll also identify, manage and mitigate risk to the business using horizon scanning, auditing processes and raising awareness of the team to make ourselves more visible to our customers.

• Reviewing individual cases to identify professional and statutory body referrals and understanding the potential implications of not complying with our statutory obligations as a healthcare provider

• Liaising with the Operations team to obtain information and documentation needed to support the referrals to ensure the professional / statutory body can make an informed decision.

• Making referrals to professional and statutory bodies on behalf of Bupa’s UK geography – providing key information which falls under the professional body’s power to request, and redacting any data which is not relevant for the purpose of their investigation.  

• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including regular calls with the Dental Head of Professional Standards and with the Health Services Revalidation Manager and Associate Clinical Director to discuss individual cases and general regulatory matters, as well as regular discussions with the people team

• Making fast track referrals to Professional Bodies where registered individuals are subject to police investigation, allowing the professional body to determine whether interim measures are required whilst investigations are ongoing.

• Diarising key hearing dates and reminders to chase for outstanding information required for referrals – ensuring any issues are escalated promptly within the operations/people team if necessary.

• Sharing information with colleagues in the wider legal teams where cases may cross over i.e. employment matters, coroners’ cases etc

• Liaising with professional bodies and/or their solicitors in response to requests for information. Also challenging requests for information if their requests are too wide / not relevant for the purposes of their investigation.

• Keeping record of professional body case progression and briefing stakeholders at key stages

• Providing witness support to employees and ex-employees called upon as witnesses to professional body investigations – discussing the process generally, reviewing and amending witness statements when required, listening to concerns and answering queries.

• Regularly reviewing our processes and template documents to ensure these are kept up to date, adopting continuous improvement mindset to potential efficiencies to encourage smarter working and/or better risk management

• Updating reputational risk register when new risk identified to be shared with the Corporate Affairs team and attend bi-monthly calls to provide updates

• Carrying out monthly audits of payroll leavers data and the ER trackers to identify any potential referrals to comply with our statutory obligations

• Monitoring Datix alerts to identify any potential referral cases
