ABOUT THE ROLE
The Peakhurst (Hotel) has an exciting opportunity available for a high calibre Sous Chef. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Sous Chef to progress within a highly recognised Hotel group. The Peakhurst (Hotel) offers an exceptional menu, with outstanding quality food, a full suite of beverage choices, entertainment and promotional activities. This position is a PERMANENT role, working a seven (7) day roster covering nights and weekends.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Must be trade qualified and hold certification in Commercial Cookery (i.e. minimum Certificate IV).
- Must have minimum five (5) years post qualified experience, in a similar sized kitchen.
- Previous high calibre hotel bistro or restaurant experience is essential.
- A key success in this role, is a genuine passion for producing great food coupled with excellent organisational skills, a reliable honest attitude and the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- The right candidate must have excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus, as well as be professionally presented and groomed at all times.
- A strong performer in multiple sections (i.e. larder, pizza, fryer, plating, pass, food presentation etc.).
- Available to start immediately.
SALARY RANGE
$85,000 to $95,000
