EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Intern in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.
This position will play a crucial role in shaping our brand identity, enhancing our digital presence, and optimizing our direct mail campaigns. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of telecommunications marketing.
Responsibilities:
Branding and Identity:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to reinforce our brand image across various channels.
- Assist in developing brand guidelines, ensuring consistency in messaging, tone, and visual elements.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to create innovative branding strategies.
Digital Media:
- Create and schedule compelling content, including posts, stories, and videos.
- Monitor social media analytics and propose adjustments based on performance data.
- Support SEO efforts by suggesting website content edits and tracking keyword rankings.
Direct Mail Campaigns:
- Work closely with the direct mail team to support targeted campaigns.
- Assist in designing eye-catching mailers and promotional materials.
- Analyze campaign results and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Research industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Collect and analyze data related to customer behavior, demographics, and response rates.
- Present findings to the marketing team and recommend actionable strategies.
Collaboration and Learning:
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including marketing operations, sales, and customer support.
- Attend team meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance your marketing skills.
- Contribute fresh ideas and creative solutions to ongoing projects.
Basic Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communication or related field.
- 3.0 GPA or above.
- 60 credit hours or more by start of internship, June 2024 .
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills: Ability to convey ideas effectively through written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, content creation, and basic SEO principles.
- A passion for innovative marketing solutions and a keen eye for design.
- Comfortable working with data and drawing actionable insights.
- Willingness to collaborate and learn from experienced professionals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
