General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Security Administrator & Receptionist to join our Security Team, based in Merthyr, South Wales. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £22,700 to £23,200 based on experience and potential. The Security Administrator & Receptionist role will provide a seamless and welcoming experience for customers and visitors upon arrival and departure of the facility. They will greet visitors, manage the signing in/out, security badge issuing and host notifications. They will respond to routine enquiries in person, by phone and via email/Teams, promptly and courteously, ensuring consistent and high-quality levels of customer care. The successful candidate will be required to work with the security team, to focus on important security and administration tasks. Another primary responsibility of this role will be conducting and maintaining security vetting for all employees, contractors and visitors. They will support in issuing and updating security and staff passes, including adding and removing access, manage visitor requests and complete general administration duties.

- Signing in and out of visitors, issuing of security badges and notify the correct company personnel of their arrival.
- Manage visitor requests and scheduling
- Operating desk phone and diverting relevant calls
- Support in Security audits and reporting
- Issuing and update staff passes including adding and removing access
- Conducting and maintaining security vetting for all employees, contractors and visitors.
- Maintain awareness of vetting aftercare.
- Work closely with HR on management of new starter process.
- Approving internal security approvals.
- Coverage of general administration duties including raising requisitions, receipting invoices, filing, reporting, managing spreadsheets, photocopying/ scanning etc
To apply for this role, you will require the following:- Experience in a similar role is essential
- Knowledge of Security and Vetting procedures (not essential but desired)
- Experience of working with Personal Data (not essential but desired)
- Some experience of front of house activity in a receptionist type role
- Understanding of a production workplace
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work well with others
- To be thorough and pay attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Multitasking, prioritising and organizational skills
- Computer literacy is a must, including Microsoft office and be confident in learning new computer systems for the role.
