Gi Group are looking for class 2 drivers / HGV 2 drivers to be supplied to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council for the Winter Services Gritting Season to start in October and end in April.

This is a part time role, 6 month contract role with vacancies at the Beverley depot.

Applicants must be able to reach this location within approximately 30 minutes and are urged to not apply if your commute time is greater than this.

We offer successful candidates an attractive remuneration package, and a 2 day fully paid training course is delivered to all new recruits.

This role will involve:
* Driving gritting vehicles (LGV Cat C / Class 2) to spread salt & brine on the road network of the
region
* Winter duties include loading the vehicle with road salt using a loading shovel, driving and
cleaning the vehicle
* Standby rota (paid) alternating with 2 weeks on and one week rest

Weekday Standby times
* Shift 1 - 16:00 to 00:00
* Shift 2 - 00:00 to 08:00
* Shift 3 - on rest
Weekend standby times
* Shift 1 - 12:00 to 00:00
* Shift 2 - 00:00 to 12:00
* Shift 3 - on rest

Standby payments are £16.50 per day Monday to Friday and £24.69 per day Saturday and Sunday.
If you are "called out" to grit the road, the payment for this is £110.17 (5 hour call out) or £132.21 (6 hour call out) on top of the daily standby payments.

Drivers will need:
* LGV Cat C (HGV Class 2) licence
* Digital Tachograph Card
* Full driver CPC
* No more than 6 points on their licence (for insurance purposes)
* No DD/DR endorsements (for insurance purposes)
* New drivers welcome

Our Client is operating from a production facility based in Immingham, which they manufacture a comprehensive range of quality fertiliser products to meet a vast array of individual customer requirements.

Inventory Driver Operator duties and responsibilities:
Split 75% of the role will be warehouse operator and 25% driving work
As an Inventory Driver Operator, you will be expected to carry out a range of varied tasks and functions, drive company vehicles as and when required to collect and/or deliver goods/stock to ensure customer requirements, performance targets and quality standards are met and when possible, exceeded.
* Dealing with receipts, put away and replenishment of Silve Stock lenses and Raw Material as requested by the Team Leader.
* Maintain clear communication with Team leaders and Senior Operators regarding change of delivery, route, or schedule or any obstructions to making safe, efficient deliveries on time.
* Receive incoming lenses and Raw Materials from internal and external sources verifying all items are correct. Identifying, putting away products ensuring all goods are located and stored in the correct locations according to procedure and available for picking.
* Pick and issue materials for the user businesses to the agreed quality standards, verifying all items are correct, complete, and present. Distribute materials to the user businesses in line with daily stock replenishment plans.
* Carry out replenishments, move and rearrange stock.
* Once fully trained, operate any machinery, vehicles or equipment as required for your position and duties
* Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck
* Support Packaging / Distribution and take pro-active action to resolve any stock issues that may adversely impact production.
* Drivers to be in possession of a valid Tacho card and up to date with all driver qualifications. Keeps company vehicle clean and well-maintained.
* May have to lift heavy products or parcels.
* Drives safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Inventory Driver Operator requirements and skills:
* You MUST in possession of a 7.5t (C1) license, Driver CPC & DIGI Cards
* Minimum of 2 years checkable work history
* A maximum of 6 points on your licence
* Strong work ethic, reliable, flexible, Upbeat, self-motivated and resilient - are welcomed in this role.
* The work, carried out is physically demanding and a significant proportion of the shift will require the member of staff to stand, walk and operate mechanical handling equipment
* Good working knowledge of Warehouse procedures and environment, computer inventory systems and Microsoft Office (or competence to achieve this).
* Be able to work in a team environment while being able to self-motivate and when necessary cover for the Team Leader / Senior Operator if absent.
* Ensure the departmental KPI's targets are met and where possible exceeded in compliance with the organization's requirements, including production targets, quality standards and customer requirements
* Positive attitude and ability to self-motivate and demonstrate initiative to promote teamwork
* Receive new training and train others as determined by the departmental training matrix. Training must be in accordance with relevant SOPs and associated documents. Share product knowledge within the department.
* Follow all systems, procedures and routines for accurately completing, filing paperwork and archiving department records
* Liaise with Purchasing, Planning and QA to improve processes and procedures to improve supply to Packaging and Distribution
* Able to use Microsoft Office to produce documents and read/send emails.

GI Group are recruiting for Class 1 Drivers for a position with our client based in Crick. The ideal candidate will be placed on temporary assignments to support the needs of our ever growing client base. This role can consist of either day or night work so drivers from either shift pattern are encouraged to make an application.

The Role:

General haulage, depot to depot, no handball involved

The Perfect Candidate:

Will hold C+E Licence entitlement
Will hold a valid Tachograph and CPC Card
Will be over 25 years old for insurance purposes
Will be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure
Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and an attention to detail is essential
Will hold a full Driving Licence clear of endorsements, other than the following: CU10, CU20, CU30, CU40, CU50, CU80, MS10, MS20, MS30, MS50, MS60, MS70, MS80, MW10, PC10, PC20, PC30, PL10, PL20, PL30, PL40, PL50, SP10, SP20, SP30, SP40, SP50, TS10, TS20, TS30, TS40, TS50, TS60, TS70 to a maximum of nine points
