About the Role
You will be responsible for the the Regional Integrated Operations Supply Chain functions and subsequent performance of the Asia Pacific Supply Chain team in support of the Business. You will need to drive growth and footprint strategy in the Asia Pacific CMPT Operations, Revenue & Earnings performance, Integrated Operations KPI tracking & improvement, Automation Strategy & Execution.
You will be accountable for planning and scheduling of raw materials, intermediates and finished goods for the global business. Be a major facilitator of the Integrated Business Process meetings and maintains close communications with several different teams within the business.
You will be trusted for the Operational Excellence in response time and service to external and internal customers, growth and continuous improvement including communication with Sales, Customer Service, and Product teams. Assist sites with efficient collaboration and mutual support with leveraged groups including EHS, Quality, Logistics and Procurement.
You will also be responsible for Core Values performance including Safety, Environmental, Health, recordable and reportable injuries, incidents and deviations for the Asia Pacific CMPT facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define strategic directions and design of the Asia Pacific region CMPT end-to-end supply chain to achieve the customer service level objectives of the business.
- Accountable for receiving the unconstrained demand plan, translating it into a supply plan and identifying constraints and communicating the plan to the manufacturing organization for execution.
- Accountable for raw materials ordering as well as managing risk associated with raw materials suppliers.
- Responsible for mitigating risk of inventory obsolescence by evaluating aging and blocked inventory and performing a root cause analysis in cases of expired inventory to prevent similar issues from happening in future.
- Responsible for consistently monitoring performance metrics and identifying opportunities to deliver an improved competitive advantage.
- Provide oversight to the Master Planners, Master Schedulers, Asset Schedulers, Material Planners at the Asia Pacific Region plants and Site Leaders of the Asia Pacific Region CMPT business.
- Assessing material information flows across the supply chain at tactical and/or strategic levels.
- Facilitating black belts projects to make the end-to-end supply chain processes more efficient.
- Managing the rules for abnormal demand, supply issues, and customers' requirements outside the capability of the supply chain to deliver.
- Providing inputs in the demand planning process and representing the Asia Pacific Region manufacturing facilities in that supply constraints.
- Accountable to the overall Core Value performance of the end-to-end supply chain organization within the Asia Pacific regional footprint.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATION
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience
- At least 6 years in an operational leadership role and ideally 6 years of supply chain experience
- Certified and active Six Sigma practitioner
- University degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- APICS CPIM Certified
- Large Project/Program Leadership
- Customer Focus/Market Responsive Awareness
- Driving results through personal accountability, especially through the use of teamwork, partnerships and collaborations
- Sensitivity to and the ability to work and lead effectively in an international and culturally diverse environment. Astute in the ability to lead virtual teams
