You will work across the new paediatric integrated unit, which opened in May 2022. We have created a purpose built, state of the art unit for children's services. Our patients and staff alike have designed it. This unit includes a Critical Care Unit, The Inpatient Ward, Short Stay Unit, Day Surgery Unit, Ambulatory and Oncology. We provide services for a diverse population in Croydon working closely with teams specialising in Asthma, Diabetes, Sickle cell, Epilepsy, Oncology and Neurodisability. The Integrated Croydon Cardiac Rehabilitation Team

Are you passionate about improving care for patients with Cardiac conditions? This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team of highly specialised and committed cardiac exercise specialists, nurses, physiotherapists and administration staff all dedicated to providing a service to patients following an acute cardiac event. The Croydon Cardiac Rehabilitation Team is working in many innovative and exciting ways to improve the quality of life for people with cardiac disease in Croydon.

We are looking for a proactive, dynamic and self-motivated cardiac nurse with some experience in delivering care to patients with cardiac conditions. The post holder would be expected to provide specialist cardiac advice as well as delivering education and support through phases 1-3.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in both the community and hospital settings and will have experience of delivering all phases of cardiac rehabilitation, although our friendly and supportive team provides excellent opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge.

Student Specialist Community Public Health Nurses- SCPHN (Health Visiting) Band 5, 1 year fixed term contract

Our integrated service works to achieve the best outcomes for our children, young people and families living in the borough through the Healthy Child Programme. As a result we are looking for qualified nurses and midwives who are passionate and motivated to train as specialist public health nurses Health Visiting.

The entry requirements for the 12 month programme are:
• Qualified nurse or midwife with an active NMC registration willing to undertake a fully funded one year academic course at the University of Greenwich

This is a position due to increased demand for general trauma and shoulder &elbow surgery. The candidate will be expected to integrate within the team of existing consultants to provide a complete elective and emergency orthopaedic service. He/she will be expected to have an interest in general trauma including upper and lower limb trauma service, all aspect of shoulder and elbow surgery especially complex upper shoulder trauma, shoulder and elbow arthroscopy and arthroplasty surgery including revision arthroplasty service. To support and further develop the management of patients accessing the service, the post holder will be expected to work with a team of trauma surgeon as part of 7 days trauma service. This requires knowledge, experience and expertise in undertaking general and complex trauma surgeries.

It would be expected that the appointee will undertake a minimum of 8.5 programmed activities for direct clinical care and 1.5 for supporting duties. Normally these are expected to be carried out on site, though this may be negotiable in respect of the supporting activities. The job plan is annualised and run over an twelve-week timetable. The department workload and planning often requires a degree of personal flexibility. The final timetable will be agreed between the successful applicant and the Clinical Lead and Service Manager following appointment. Any further changes to the job plan must be for the betterment of the service and have the full support of the specialty division together with the Medical Director's agreement.

Purley War Memorial Hospital (PWMH) in the south of the borough offers outpatient care, including diagnostic services, physiotherapy and ophthalmology services run by Moorfields Eye Hospital, alongside an onsite GP surgery.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of general Orthopaedic patients admitted under his/her care and on call on a 1 in 12 rota based at the Croydon site.

The orthopaedic on call rota will run as Consultant of the Week (emergency committed only) from Friday 8am until Friday 8am the following week in line with the London Emergency Standards 1 in 12

There is 1 in 12 weekend commitment. The post holder will share the junior staff and will be responsible for training of CT1 and STs as well as GPVTS and Trust Grade Doctors. Consultants are required to be onsite and free of other commitments when on call during normal working hours. The successful applicant will provide a twice daily ward round when on call and will be free of clinical commitments as part of the 24 hours emergency surgery guidelines. The post holder participates in the local and the regional complex trauma and upper limb MDT which is run fortnightly and this will be incorporated in to the job plan.

The department wishes to appoint a substantive Consultant in Colorectal and General Surgery with an interest in benign colorectal disease and abdominal wall reconstruction (AWR). This 10 PA post has been developed in response to increasing demand in benign colorectal and complex hernia workload. This post is not initially intended to include cancer resection surgery. Experience in advanced AWR techniques and MDT working is essential and familiarity with managing inflammatory bowel disease and other colorectal diseases is important. A research background and experience in management of complex abdominal wall hernias is desirable.



The candidate will be expected to integrate within the team of existing consultants in order to provide a complete General Surgery service with a view to clearly continuing to meet London Emergency Surgery standards of care. There will be a requirement for the successful candidate to provide regular endoscopy (lower GI) lists, elective benign lower gastrointestinal surgery as well as emergency general surgery. There will be an opportunity to work with consultant colleagues in the development of new, more effective, patient care pathways in both elective and emergency patients with complicated hernia and other general surgical presentations.
