Main purpose of the role

Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.

Your key responsibilities will be:


Preparing vehicles for paint – This will include masking, priming, sanding, and cleaning panels.
Ensuring that there are no defects on the prepared panels.
Supporting other areas of the workshop where needed.
Assisting with the training of junior members of the team.


To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:


Previous experience in a similar role in a Bodyshop. Minimum 1 year.
Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
Willing to support junior cosmetic technicians and offer support/expertise when needed.
You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in your work, to the highest standards of work set by customers.
You will need to work independently and as part of a team on vehicles and have experience to make your own decisions when required.

As an Vehicle Assessor at BCA you would be part of the UK’s largest used vehicle business, generating vehicle cosmetic condition reports that enable varying makes, models, and value vehicles to be sold through our online platform. Assessing each vehicle with our in-house app - ensuring accuracy and consistency for our customers.

To accurately book in and record vehicle details for arrivals at the centre. Capture and enter details of vehicle information, condition, and documentation in a ‘right first time’ manner. Identify and report on any important vehicle information at point of arrival.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Booking vehicles in recording basic details and mileage using our handheld device

- Recording or verifying vehicle documentation

- Undertaking a brief inspection of items present and major or recent damage that could have occurred in transit

- Recovering and recording any loose items using our handheld devise

- Identifying and ordering standard services

- Recommending any enhancement services using your device

- Ensuring that the Company’s health and safety standards and practices are adhered to in the yard

- Supporting other area's of Branch operations as and when required

To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:

- Driving Licence preferred but not essential

The role

If you love cars and driving and have a sense of adventure we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to become part of a team and grow our network of Vehicle Collection and Delivery Drivers for the UK’s favourite car buying service – cinch

As a Vehicle Handover Driver you will be based from our cinch store in Bristol and will be collecting and delivering vehicles to customers on a daily basis. The role includes vehicle inspections and prepping vehicles for customers.

You will be working within a team of drivers to offer an exceptional service to cinch customers. Minimum use of public transport is required and if this is required all expenses will be covered by us. The start of your day will always be reporting into the closest Hub.

You will typically be working 39.5 hours per week between the hours of 0800-1700. This will be on a rolling 12 week shift pattern and include weekend working.

You will receive a full company induction via our in-house dedicated Driver Training Programme, all equipment provided along with fuel cards and company credit cards for travel expenses. We also have a dedicated team for cinch drivers to provide day to day driver support.

Main purpose of the role

Do you have a good eye for detail and an interest in the motor industry?

As an appraiser at BCA you would be part of the UK’s largest used vehicle business, generating vehicle cosmetic condition reports that enable varying makes, models, and value vehicles to be sold through our online platform.

Your role will be to create an accurate description of a vehicle condition aligned to BCA grading and costed inspection standards, so that details of the condition and specification of vehicles entered onto the in-house systems are accurate.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Undertake appraisal/inspection and imaging of vehicles.

- Undertake costed vehicle inspections and imaging to set customer standards and maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer inspection processes and standards.

- Be able to meet a minimum daily target of vehicle inspections and images.

- Recommend any vehicle enhancement services.

- Move vehicles around the site adhering to site speed limits and safe-driving practices at all times.

- Ensure that the Company’s health and safety standards and practices are adhered to in the yard so that accidents to vehicles and people are prevented.

To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:

- A thorough approach with attention to detail, whilst working at pace

- Able to work within a team environment but also the potential to work alone

- Familiarity with different makes and models of vehicles - previous experience within the motor industry preferred but not essential

- Full UK Driving license preferred but not essential

Your role will be leading the team to create an accurate description of a vehicle condition aligned to BCA grading and costed inspection standards, so that details of the condition and specification of vehicles entered onto the in-house systems are accurate.

To support the Duty Manager - Production in the delivery of all elements of effective people management including recruitment, training, performance management, communication, and wellbeing.

Your key responsibilities will be:

People Management:

- To manage all elements of the employee lifecycle including onboarding and offboarding.

- Performance management of the team including training, coaching and appraisals to

ensure both optimum performance and talent pipeline.

- Effective workforce management, including absence planning, ensuring optimum staff

levels at all times and adherence to working time directive.

- Effective communication to team ensuring awareness of results and key priorities.

Operational Management:

- Accountable for the timely production of high quality digital assets, specifically arrivals, and

enhancements.

- Support other Team Leaders as necessary across Production

- Ensure adherence to BCA Standard Operating Procedures.

- Ensuring that quality, speed and cost targets are delivered to maximise profitability.

- Effective inventory management to ensure vehicles are prepared and entered into sale

within SLA’s.

- Liaise with central online team to maximise performance.

- Manage site relationship with RAC, SMART repair and vehicle enhancement.

- Identifying any patterns, trends, and opportunities for improving performance and

working with the Centre Manager and Co-ordinators to set and monitor KPI’s across the

Centre

To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:

- Experience in a line manager or team leader role

- Able to demonstrate high-level organisational skills and an ability to communicate a

variety of information and instruction to operational team members

- Delegate responsibility appropriately and effectively

- Ability to motivate a team to deliver objectives and meet targets

- Good report generation and presentation abilities

We are looking for a Vehicle Technician to join a mechanical department based at Bristol.

What you’ll be doing….


Carry out general servicing of vehicles, repairs and MOT checks (if qualified)
Complete air conditioning services as and when required
Diagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and if needed undertake electrical diagnosis on vehicles
Undertake road and ramp testing
Carry out all repairs in line with approved methods to restore vehicles to its original condition
Deal with warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards
Ensure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followed


Who you are….


Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Mechanical Inspector
Qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 (required)

The role

If you love cars and driving and have a sense of adventure we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to become part of a team and grow our network of Vehicle Collection and Delivery Drivers for the UK’s favourite car buying service – cinch

As a Vehicle Handover Specialist you will be based from our nearest cinch site and will be collecting and delivering vehicles from sites to customers on a daily basis. The role includes vehicle inspections and prepping vehicles for customers.

You will be working within a team of drivers to offer an exceptional service to cinch customers. Minimum use of public transport is required and if this is required all expenses will be covered by us. The start of your day will always be reporting into the closest Hub.

You will typically be working 44 hours per week between the hours of 6am-6pm. This will be on a rolling 12 week shift pattern and include weekend working.

You will receive a full company induction via our in-house dedicated Driver Training Programme, all equipment provided along with fuel cards and company credit cards for travel expenses. We also have a dedicated team for cinch drivers to provide day to day driver support.
