As an Aerial Delivery Specialist, WG-5210-10, you will:

Inspect a variety of airdrop equipment such as parachutes, multi loop lines, extraction force transfer couplings, latch assembly couplings, cable assembly couplings, actuator assembly, release cargo parachute M-1, lanyard arming wire, connector parachute, timer delay assembly, link lower suspension, link assembly single suspension type IV, link assembly heavy duty, link 4 point, parachute release single knife, bracket suspension, and tie down cargo quick release.

Perform visual, dimensional, hands on, and operational inspection of the above listed equipment at the prescribed times. These inspections are in accordance with warnings, cautions, Army Regulations (AR), Technical Manuals (TM), Field Manuals (FM) and Department of Army Pamphlets (DA PAM, Safety of Use Messages (SOUM), and notes and Ground Precautionary Messages (GPM), for airborne safety.

Make judgmental decisions on proximity to tolerances and interrelated dimensions on timer delay systems of M-1 release, latch assembly couplings, cable assembly couplings, and actuator assembly.
Inspect for burrs, tears, significant fraying, rough spots, corrosion, pits, cracks, welds, cuts, foreign material, bends, damaged threads, adjusting collars, set screws, shank pins, and timers activate within specifications.
Use a wide variety of inspection processes and techniques, and many unique and specially designed instruments and gauges (i.e., tension meters, scales, micrometers, gauges, torque wrenches, tests sets, porosity, oxygen test sets, altitude chambers, altimeters, and protractors).

Prepare and conduct inspections of sling load equipment and sling load operations.

Perform duties as inspector testers, pack-in-process inspector and final inspector.

Perform initial inspection on all parachutes, textile and non-textile components, and airdrop containers.

Conduct regular testing of parachute and newly issued airdrop equipment.

Drop-test troop-type personnel parachute to check proficiency.

Inspect and classify airdrop items to determine whether items are serviceable, repairable, or beyond economical repair.

Inspect airdrop equipment repairs and parachute packing.

Inspect air items to ensure manufacturer and Army quality control.

Assist supervisory personnel in receiving, maintaining, and issuing supplies, as well planning work requirements and yearly forecasting.

Perform prioritized airdrop inspections, sequential work is determined, and pertinent ARs, TMs, FMs and DA PAMs have been reviewed.

Independently perform assignments at the Aerial Delivery Logistics Facility (ADLF) when the supervisor is not present.

Perform three separate inspections of airdrop loads/containers prior to the actual airdrop.

Make decisions on a wide range of matters that may involve deviations and departures from past precedents and accepted practice or highly subjective judgments that could affect safety of flight and crew.

First inspect the AR 59-4 directed shop final inspection required for that specified type of load. The second inspection is the "before loading inspection". An airdrop Joint Air Drop Inspector (JAI) and Air Force Joint Airdrop Inspector (AFJAI) conduct joint inspections.

Complete the proper airdrop inspection form in the DD Form 1748 (Joint Airdrop Inspection Record) series and all sign the appropriate blocks to certify correct rigging of the load. The third inspection is "after loading inspection"; this is after the equipment is on board the aircraft and is rigged for flight and airdrop.

Perform inspection along with an AFJAI and the aircrew Load Master.

Focus on dimensions and weights of rigged airdrop loads IAW ARs, TMs, FMs, and DA PAMs. This includes highly specialized rigging of equipment and personnel loads for highly sensitive Special Operations Force (SOF) missions. SOF aerial delivery operations, includes preparation, outfitting, and inspection for delivery of personnel and equipment into maritime environments and exceptionally hazardous terrain.

Rig and prepare unilateral airdrop training loads to include type V or other airdrop platforms for airdrops.

Fabricate container delivery systems loads, skid boards, and other associated airdrop items.

Receive, unpack, and inspect unit parachutes.

Clean, dry, inspect, and pack cargo and personnel parachutes after use.

Maintain and repair a variety of fabric, rubber, and metallic equipment.

Operate and perform minor maintenance on sewing machines, punch presses, stenciling machines, and other similar equipment.

Perform inspections and repair of cargo, deceleration, and extraction parachutes, and is responsible for certification.

Perform Joint Airdrop Inspections as the aerial load inspector.

Perform technical order compliance modifications and modifications of parachutes and related items.

As a Surface Maintenance Mechanic Inspector, WG-5801-11, you will:

Perform limited diagnosis, routine repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles.

Assist higher graded mechanics in the repair and/or overhaul of major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls.

Independently perform routine repairs and maintenance functions in remote locations that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems using standard parts.

Receive guidance and instruction from a higher graded mechanic or supervisor to perform non-routine and more complex repairs on portions of major assemblies and/or systems.

Conduct limited readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and associated equipment supported by the activity.

As a Surface Maintenance Mechanic, WG-5801-10, you will:

• Troubleshoot, perform maintenance and major repairs on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles. This may include self-propelled artillery, tracked cargo and personnel carriers, road graders, mobile cranes, front loaders, conveyors, bulldozers, power shovels, compressors, generators, tanks, tracked combat vehicles, sedans, buses, all terrain vehicles, trucks, semi trailers, forklifts, tractors, and accessory equipment. Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls. Make repairs to assemblies and components such as voltage regulators, generators/alternators, brake cylinders, etc. Perform work in accordance with modification work orders, technical manuals, lubrication orders, maintenance bulletins, regulations or management policies. May repair a variety of more complex major systems to include engines, cross drive or similar multi-system transmissions and a variety of intricate fuel injection systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment and diagnose the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks and/or uses test equipment such as engine analyzers, compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, pressure gauges, and computer diagnostic tools. Utilize embedded diagnostics in equipment and a wide variety of original equipment manufacturer system analyzers in order to determine the exact nature or extent of repair. Determine what adjustments may be necessary to complete work orders, and whether any additional repairs other than those specified or indicated on the work order are necessary.
• Remove and disassemble engines and major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and fuel, hydraulic, and oil pressure systems. Make the appropriate repairs, overhaul, or modifications in accordance with the proper repair specifications and procedures. Reassemble engines and other systems, and adjusts, tests, and re-installs in vehicles and equipment as necessary. Make adjustments and repairs to electrical and suspension systems. May install pistons, sleeves, rings, bearings, rods, crankshafts, timing gears, and rocker arms. May be required to perform fuel injection equipment repair, overhaul, rebuild, and calibration duties utilizing a variety of complex test and calibration equipment.
• Independently perform repairs and maintenance functions in remote locations that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems such as injectors, leaking wheel cylinders, corroded mufflers, fuel tanks, brake cylinders and worn brake shoes, voltage regulators, generators, injector pumps, and fuel pumps. Provide technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower grade employees within the team. Assist lower grade mechanics in performing major repair work. May provide Field and limited Sustainment maintenance at unit locations as part of a "contact team." Recover and evacuate inoperable vehicles from the unit location of breakdown. As a GS-0950-11, Paralegal Specialist, you will:

Provide ancillary legal work to state/territory SJA and other assigned Army National Guard (ARNG) and Air National Guard (ANG) attorneys servicing the state/territory National Guard's case load. Conduct legal research of Federal and state/territory code, regulations, policies, procedures, case law, legal and administrative decisions and opinions, etc., and summarize findings to aide staff attorneys in case or project resolution. Research is performed on a variety of legal subjects which may include, but are not limited to: Federal and state/territory code, and legislative proposals or intent; military justice and status issues for Title 10 and Title 32 members; claims; labor relations; equal opportunity; administrative actions; contractual agreements; ethics; environmental concerns; law enforcement; bankruptcy; taxation; legal assistance; and a wide variety of miscellaneous legal issues. Interview clients and potential witnesses; collect and organize pertinent factual and research material to build case files; and prepare and organize exhibits. Compose, prepare, and ensure accuracy of various legal or legislative documents. Draft and edit non-legal memoranda, research reports and correspondence relating to cases. Maintain case files and identify and correct file deficiencies or discrepancies.

Provide research, analysis, guidance, and support to administer courts-martial, non-judicial punishment, administrative boards and other legal actions and administrative processes. Manage the Preventative Law Program. Facilitate legal training for unit readiness non-commissioned officers (NCOs) and Directorate of Manpower and Personnel (J1) personnel, or others by request, on a variety of topics including but not limited to: the military justice system (both Federal and state/territory), inquiries and investigations, unlawful command influence, adverse administrative actions, administrative separations, the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968, urinalysis testing and other issues affecting traditional guard members and NG full-time employees. Manage the SJA portion of the state/territory Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) program. Advise senior leaders and organizational managers on the suitability of various disputes for resolution through the use of ADR methodologies by promoting program awareness, as well as planning for and providing timely advice or support needed to employ ADR program interventions. Develop, plan, or generate guidance for existing dispute processes to ensure they interface with National Guard Bureau (NGB) ADR goals. Work to implement the most appropriate form of ADR that both meets and is able to address the needs of the disputants. Analyze the qualifications, experience, training and subject matter expertise of neutrals and recommend the selection of specific one. Work with managers, supervisors, and employees to prevent and resolve problems and to build constructive relationships in the work environment. As an Accounting Officer, GS-0501-12, you will:

Provide financial accounting advice, analysis, and assistance to the Financial Manager, USPFO, and all organizational elements of the respective state NG regarding the development of accounting policies, systems, and operating procedures. Plan, execute, and install all new and/or improved accounting systems within the division. Design, develop, adapt, revise, evaluate, and implement systems including those utilizing automatic data processing equipment. Study accounts, reports, and procedural instructions within the broad area of assignment and, as necessary, any legislative and program background pertaining to this program; hold discussions with program officials, employees, supervisors, etc., to learn the details of work processes and procedures; draft instructions, procedures, manuals, etc., to implement the proposed system or to correct deficiencies in the accounting system uncovered during the study. Render advice to management on the effects of accounting changes approved and perform related duties necessary to the development of balanced recommendations. Monitor work operations to assure full compliance with procedures and published directives. Make formal presentations of completed systems packages including the acceptability of the data processing system applied to higher management levels for final approval. As an Intelligence Operations Specialist, GS-0132-11, you will:

Assist the Senior Intelligence Officer in assuring the Intelligence function maintains a capability to provide timely and accurate operational intelligence support and fully trained intelligence personnel during peacetime and contingency operations.

Performs assigned operational intelligence collection, fusion and analysis, and based on thorough understanding of the significance of conditions and trends, develops and projects data and draws meaningful conclusions and clear estimates based on current and past intelligence situations.

Briefs the findings and estimates of these special assignments to superiors, planners, and policy makers. Provides detailed threat analysis for mission planning and execution and unit deployments. As an Aircraft Mechanic, WG-8852-10, you will:

Perform inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft to include periodic, phase, hourly, preflight, post flight, calendar, thru-flight, and special inspections such as fuel contamination, emergency equipment, and oil sampling.

Inspect and perform functional checks such as landing gear retraction and operation checks on hydraulic, electrical, pressurization, lubrication, de-icing, vacuum, induction, and exhaust systems.
