Key responsibilities

Delivery and Collections:

• Efficiently handle deliveries and collections with a clean driving license.
• Possess and maintain a valid forklift license for safe operation; training can be provided.
• Pack parts for dispatch, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

General Factory and Yard labouring and housekeeping:

• Ensure routine scheduled cleanliness and tidiness in factory areas, including sweeping pathways, gangways, and maintaining a clean yard.
• Contribute to the overall housekeeping of the factory and yard.

General Maintenance Tasks:

• Undertake general maintenance tasks, including painting and window cleaning.

Landscaping:

• Perform general landscaping duties, such as grass cutting and maintaining outdoor areas.

About you

• Valid forklift license.( training can be given)
• Clean driving licence - Proven experience in driving, delivery, and collection roles.

As a Grinder, your role will involve programming, setting, and operating CNC and manual universal cylindrical grinding machines, focusing on OD and internal grinding of gears, shafts, and gear parts.

Hourly rate - starting at £17.50 p/hr. overtime available on weekdays at time and a quarter & at weekends at time and half.

Key responsiblities

• Set & operate cylindrical CNC and manual grinders.
• Apply experienced work-holding methods, wheel dressing and best practices.
• Demonstrate proficiency in GD&T (Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Work with precision to close tolerances.
• Operate tools according to engineering drawings and designs.

As part of a dynamic team of quality inspectors in a bustling inspection lab, you will play a crucial role. Your daily routine involves active participation in meetings with senior leadership, collaborating to establish and prioritize daily tasks. You take charge of coordinating and managing the inspection team, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of our workload. Contribute to the daily inspections of parts and you actively oversee AS90111 quality audits.

Maintaining a well-organised department is key, and you lead initiatives such as 5S coordination. Additionally, you will contribute to and coordinate reports like PPAP, FAIR, and ISIR, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Running Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes is part of your responsibility to guarantee alignment with customer requirements.

About you

• Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies, with an emphasis on practical application
• Strong leadership and hands on management skills, with the ability to lead a small team effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of aerospace industry regulations and quality standards
• Problem solving skills and a commitment to pragmatic continuous improvement
• Relevant certifications, such as ASQ certified quality manager or similar (beneficial)

Overall

You will be involved in 4-5 axis programming, setting of vertical machining centres. Specialise in complex prismatic parts for the Aerospace, motorsport and oil and gas industry. Interesting parts that are small to medium batch quantities. You will be required to create programmes with experience using cnc mills with 4th axis control on Matsuura and Hass vertical machining centres. You will be able to understand drawings with close tolerances and be experienced in machining different types of materials.

Hourly rate - £16.50 - £21.50p/hr depending on experience and qualifications.

Overtime rates - time and third weekdays and time and half weekends.

• Setting CNC vertical machining centre Mazak, Mastuura and Hass
