We are seeking highly experienced WELDERS to join and work with our team of professionals on full-time and permanent basis. We are looking for trustworthy individuals with integrity who will bring a positive can-do attitude to the position and to the team.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Read and interpret project plans, engineering drawings, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
Perform fabrication and repair works on various metal structures and components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints
Work with variety of materials, including steel, aluminium, and other alloys
Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
Perform appropriate type of weld - base on project needs and specifications
Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
Ensure fabrication and repairs are carried out using the proper safety guidelines to ensure rework jobs do not occur.
Use a range of hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and cutting tools
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets standard specifications
Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
Trade certificate in Engineering Fabrication or Equivalent
Proficient in performing all welding, gouging, cutting or other duties
Post trade experience in the same field
Proactive attitude with the desire to work reliably as part of an outstanding team to deliver excellence for our clients
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints
Experience working with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys
Familiarity with a range of hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and cutting tools
Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed work
Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
Strong communication and reporting skills
Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
Must have great work ethics
