33 Auction is excited to announce the launch of a dedicated Luxury Department. We are seeking enthusiastic and resourceful individuals to join our team as Department Assistant, Jewellery. Fully incorporated and registered in Singapore since 2009 with presence in Jakarta and Beijing, 33 Auction is an established auction house renowned for its expertise in Modern and Contemporary Asian Art. As pioneers of a new category, you will have the opportunity to actively assemble and execute this segment of auctions and selling exhibitions.
Responsibilities:
Logistics and Operations:
- Assist Business Director in management of logistics and operational aspects of the jewellery department, including inventory management, shipping, and receiving.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and shipping carriers to ensure timely delivery and receipt of jewellery items.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of jewellery auctions, including cataloging, lotting, and display setup.
- Maintain accurate records of jewellery inventory, including tracking consignments, loans, and acquisitions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures related to the handling and transportation of jewellery items.
Visual Merchandising and Display:
- Collaborate with the Business Director and marketing teams to create visually appealing displays and presentations for jewellery auctions and previews.
- Assist in the setup and arrangement of jewellery displays, ensuring that items are showcased in an attractive and accessible manner.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the jewellery department's physical space, including showcases, displays, and signage.
Client Service and Client Relations:
- Provide assistance and support to clients, including collectors, buyers, and sellers, with inquiries related to jewellery auctions and consignments.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding logistics, shipping, insurance, and other operational matters.
- Liaise with internal departments, such as client services, finance, and legal, to address client needs and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Experience in the luxury business, with a focus on operations, logistics, or administration.
- Previous experience working in an auction house or retail jewellery environment is highly desirable.
- Experience in jewellery operations, including shipping, insurance, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with database management software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work
- Fluent in verbal and written English. Proficiency in Chinese will be advantageous.
