The Rochester Regional Health Imaging and Radiology team is led by subspecialty and board-certified radiologists, nurses and technicians providing the highest quality diagnostic and treatment imaging services to the Western, Central and Finger Lakes New York communities. Our teams pride themselves on providing the most advanced imaging and radiology services that guide how treatment plans and care decisions are made throughout our region.

The Sonographer obtains high quality image while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a consistent level of quality.

ATTRIBUTES
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate OR Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification required (within six (6) months of graduation from an accredited program, within one (1) year of graduation from a non-accredited program).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ultrasound Scans. Perform abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN and/or transcranial Doppler ultrasound scans; produce ultrasound images and obtain all required measurements; assist attending physicians with invasive procedures under sonographic guidance
Documentation. Note performance of scans in patient charts and complete preliminary reporting; phone preliminary reports in to doctor’s offices or nursing floors at the request of the Radiologist
Room Preparation. Clean, stock and prepare room daily

RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
