This is a residential 9/80 position located in Midland, TX. The position reports to the MCBU HSE Environmental Field Team Leader and serves as a resource supporting the MCBU operations teams.
The position is responsible for supporting all aspects of environmental field support for MCBU operations. The position will be assigned specific field team and/or functional areas to provide support for:
- Environmental Incident Management
- Spill Prevention
- Spill Reporting
- Remediation coordination and oversight
- Air Emission Reporting
- Line Strike Reporting
- Environmental Compliance
- Waste Management compliance
- Reserve Pit management
- Wildlife/protected species management and monitoring
This role requires effective engagement and relationships with all of Chevron’s internal functions, such as Operations, Wells, Water Management, and Facilities Engineering. The position will also manage contractors conducting field activities including sampling and remediation activities.
A significant portion of this role involves understanding and interpreting regulations and calculating spills and air emissions volumes using generally accepted calculations and models.
This role is office based but supports 24/7 field operations. Thus, the successful candidate is expected to spend approximately 25% of their time in the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical expertise with Microsoft Excel and BS in Environmental or engineering related discipline Upstream Oil and Gas industry experience.
Relocation may be considered.
