SUMMARY:
The Senior Supervisor Sanitation is responsible for supervising the sanitation procedures of a FDA Bakery Facility with multiple flour and corn processes, making sure the plant meets all FDA requirements and the production lines start-up on time. This includes ensuring Team Members have been instructed on the proper safety procedures to be used in or around the work area, monitoring the weekly Pre-Op Microbiologic reports, working with chemical vendors, troubleshooting issues such as swab failures, and knowledge of chemical mixes and MSDS. Other responsibilities include: monitoring sanitation technicians in their use of chemicals and proper safety procedures, checking inventory levels of chemicals, ordering supplies when necessary, and taking care of daily administrative duties (i.e. Team Member records and work schedules). Other duties include conducting monthly safety meetings, scheduling ongoing training for Team Members, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience: 6+ months experience in industrial sanitation preferably in food manufacturing.
- Computer Skills: Basic to moderate computer skills. Examples: checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries.
- Communication Skills: Must have strong communication skills
- Special Skills: Must be able to work a flexible schedule; knowledge in sanitation and chemicals required;
- Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a large group of personnel in a single department with multiple shifts who perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities.
- Travel: May include 1-3 trips per year
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- For locations with an 8 point attendance policy, TM’s must not have 4 or more attendance points.
- No written warning in the past six (6) months
- No suspension on record for the last 12 months
