• You will provide Operating Materials and Supplies Warehouse Onsite Support to the Naval Sea Logistics Center.

Major duties include:

• Distributes and balances workload among employees in accordance with established workflow or job specialization and assures timely accomplishment of assigned workload;
• Monitors status and progress of work and makes day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities;
• Maintains current knowledge and answers questions of other employees on procedures, policies, directives, or other guidelines as necessary and obtains needed information or decisions from supervisor on problems;
• Maintains stock at primary and secondary inventory locations for all clinical and administrative services, including pulling stock inventory and material from inventory for delivery, replenishing stock inventory, interacting with customers to resolve issues, maintaining records on stock levels, etc.;
• Performs inventory using bar code equipment and resolves differences between records and physical count of stock;
• Ensures areas are cleaned in accordance with aseptic principles as published in infection control guidelines, local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Joint Commission standards as scheduled;
• Receives supplies and materials into the catchment area including unpacking/uncrating supplies from shipping cartons; storing supplies and materials; and ensuring sterility and integrity of the supplies and material as well as the data integrity of the inventory management system; and
• Works with clinical and administrative customers as well as outside vendors with tact and diplomacy to coordinate work activities and resolve operating issues pertaining to supply management requirements.

• You will disassemble, repair, assemble, modify, measure, and or check, as required to, to process aircraft, aircraft engine structure, and components.
• You will work from drawings, manuals, technical directives, instructions and under the guidance of a higher-graded mechanic.
• You will use hand power tools (drills, rivet, funs, routers, etc.) and/or works with hand or power press brakes, shears, shrinking and stretching repairing, manufacturing, and/or modifying aircraft or aircraft engine assemblies or parts.

The purpose of this position is to supervise workers on a day-to-day or project-by-project basis, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders, in accomplishing the work operations of the organizational segment or work shift and to perform associated nonsupervisory work. The occupation and grade level which best reflects the nature of the overall work operations supervised is Aircraft Mechanic, WG-8852-10.

b. DUTIES:

(1) Planning: Plans and schedules specific work assignments on a daily or project-to-project basis within specified time requirements. Arranges for adequate personnel, materials and equipment to accomplish the work.

(2) Work Direction: Assigns tasks to be performed. Explains prescribed methods and procedures; instructs subordinates on new procedures and provides assistance on problems. Reviews work in progress and oncompletion. Obtains approval from supervisor for changes in standard or prescribed procedures and changes in work operations. Suggests ways or methods to improve operations or reduce costs.

(3) Administration: Recommends individuals to fill vacancies or for promotion or reassignment. Assists in the establishment of performance standards and makes recommendations for performance appraisals. Counsels with employees on disciplinary issues and recommends disciplinary action. Attempts to resolve informal complaints and grievances, referring unresolved or more serious issues to supervisor. Conducts on-the-job training and recommends employees for formal training programs. Schedules leave and approves leave for short periods of time. Encourages employees to participate in suggestion or cost reduction programs. Ensures that regulations governing safety and housekeeping are observed with appropriate protective clothing and equipment being utilized. (4) Performs the nonsupervisory functions of the organizational segment supervised.

(5) Implements regulatory safety requirements and ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. (6) Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. May be required to perform additional duties such as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/ crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operator, maintenance of facilities and equipment, or serve as a member of a team to cope with natural disasters or civil emergencies.

This Supervisory Transportation Security Officer position is located at Elmira-Corning Regional Airport (ELM), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSO), you will be responsible for mitigating actual and potential threats against civil aviation and other transportation modes. You will also perform and supervise in your area of specialty, which may include Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and Lead Transportation Security Officers (LTSOs) in the performance of all security functions related to the screening of people, property, and cargo through the use and application of procedures, techniques, and technology. In addition, you will make independent, security-based decisions using intelligence, critical thinking, experience, observation, and passenger engagement. Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting and supervising subordinate employees in conducting pre-board security screening of persons, their carry-on and checked baggage/cargo.
• Overseeing screening checkpoint(s) and/or baggage screening operations on a day-to-day basis to include equipment, personnel, and the scheduling and rotation of personnel.

The Transportation Assistant will serve as Agency Organization Program Coordinator A/OPCfor the government charge card program. Incumbent serves as approver and is responsible for monthly reconciliation of their Centrally Billed Account (CBA) in accordance with regulations. A/OPC will review all unmatched transactions to determine if they match the bank transactions to the TMC transactions, traveler's name, obligation numbers, organization codes and organization name. Approver must select the appropriate status code for each transaction and submit the statement for certification. Reconciliation is necessary to guard against fraud, waste and abuse.

Major duties include but are not limited to:

• Serve as the point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a wide range of travel related matters and VA Financial Policies and Procedures.

Overhauls hydraulic lift mechanisms and gear boxes of tractor drawn gang mowers, removing and inspecting valves and gears, and adjust for correct operation.
