This staff member is employed in the Nutrition & Food Service Department. This position combines the duties of a Motor Vehicle Operator with those of a Food Service Worker. In addition to performing the tasks of delivering food to various locations throughout campus, this position also performs various food production and cleaning tasks. The incumbent works under the direction of the Food Service Worker Supervisors.

Motor Vehicle Operator: This staff member is employed in the Nutrition & Food Service Department. This position combines the duties of a Motor Vehicle Operator with those of a Food Service Worker. In addition to performing the tasks of delivering food to various locations throughout campus, this position also performs various food production and cleaning tasks. The incumbent works under the direction of the Food Service Worker Supervisors.

The Motor Vehicle Operator is responsible for performing maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and air pressure in tires, re-fueling and cleaning of the vehicle. A two-way radio to may be utilized to receive and transmit messages. The incumbent is also responsible for completing and maintaining competencies on the use/maintenance of the vehicle and lift gate.

Food Service Worker: The incumbent is expected to do tasks with many steps or a sequence of tasks in the food production and food service areas. These include preparation and portioning of foods, mixing liquids to prescribed thickness, following restricted diet guidelines in the assembly of meals and nourishments, tray delivery, supplying and rotating stock, dishwashing and general cleaning.

Although established procedures are followed, continuous attention is required in the application of diet restrictions, proper food handling techniques, use of chemicals and the safe operation of food service equipment.

The Food Service Worker prepares uncooked items such as sandwiches, salads, spreads and salad dressings. Beverages are also prepared according to diet guidelines for therapeutic consistency. In addition, this position provides assistance to cooks by weighing, measuring and assembling ingredients according to standardized recipes. The incumbent places correct food items on hospital trays by accurately reading menus and diet cards within allotted time frames. This position is responsible for the assembly and disassembly of tray line serving stations, including preparation of equipment for hot and cold items and sanitizing of surfaces when meal service is completed. Provides assistance to cooks in food preparation area by weighing, measuring and assembling ingredients according to standardized recipes.

The Food Service worker also interacts with Veterans, delivering foods to inpatient wards and directly into patient rooms. Timely service is required to maintain food quality and temperature. The incumbent observes food safety, sanitation, and HIPPA guidelines when transporting food items. This employee properly identifies patients utilizing 2 identifiers prior to distributing trays.

• Reviews requests for reimbursement of travel costs for assuring compliance with regulations and procedures, completeness, accuracy, internal consistency, and agreement with basic authorization.

As a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, WG-8852-8/10/12, this position is located in the Logistics function of an ARNG Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF). The AASF provides Aviation Unit Maintenance (AVUM), Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVIM), and aviation maintenance training for supported units. The purpose of this position is to act as the Aircraft Mechanic (Crew Chief) with responsibility for managing the operational readiness of one or more aircraft, and proficiency training of supported aviation unit personnel. Responsibilities include detailed technical oversight of individual aircraft's level of mission capabilities and projection of maintenance requirements to maintain individual aircraft operational readiness.

(1) Manages, monitors or performs overall maintenance, servicing, inspections and documentation for one or more highly technical, high performance military aircraft. Performs work in complex conditions under time and/or mission constraints to include all weather and night operations. Works with, coordinates and oversees the work of lower graded aircraft mechanics and certifies the work of journey level workers in other trades working on the assigned aircraft. Performs damage assessments and repairs. Participates in mission preparation and recovery operations. Oversees installation of equipment for special missions. Expedites aircraft operations to include concurrent servicing, refueling, and/or reconfiguration of equipment for changes in operational missions. Performs preflight, thru flight, and post-flight inspections and scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. Serves as the technical authority to identify and advise on requirements for airframe, mechanical, electrical/environmental, avionics, engine, and pneudraulic repairs on assigned aircraft. Works closely with maintenance supervisor(s) and production control personnel to report and maintain current aircraft status. (2) Ensures Unit Level Logistics-Aviation (ULLS-A) and other aircraft documentation accurately reflects status and airworthiness of assigned aircraft. (3) Clears Red X status symbols on aircraft forms for work performed by others. Participates in Maintenance Test Flights as a crewmember or Technical Observer (TO), as required. May participate in operational flights as a crewmember or Flight Engineer. SSC Coordinator performs work of broad scope and complexity with a high degree of independence. Provides the highest organizational level of technical support associated with analyzing, designing, developing, installing, repairing, fabricating, maintaining, modifying or evaluating the most complex systems for which the FAA is responsible.

Incumbent is recognized as the technical expert on legacy and newly developed systems within a large facility or multiple facilities over a large geographical area. Work requires maintaining technical expertise on complex systems and/or emerging technology, systems interrelationships and management of the NAS.

Responsibilities include the integration, restoration, testing and evaluation of new advanced service or service components, hardware/software systems and processes. Performs a variety of functions directly relating to the operation of the NAS. Serves as the principal technical specialist, project manager, resolving unique technical problems without managerial intervention, providing coordination and suggesting solutions.

Works within established policies and procedures to select the most effective and efficient approach or to develop new solutions. As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), GS-2005-7, this position is located in the Aviation Materiel Management Section of an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF). Its purpose is to provide services in support of inventory control, storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems. Manages aviation materials and resource tracking (i.e. Depot Level Repairable (DLR)/Class 9 (CLIX) funds and all other appropriate air and ground budgets), Test Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)/tools management, and Hazardous Material Management.

(1) Responsible for all phases of DLR and CLIX repair/repairable items procurement and returns program. Forecasts, justifies, prepares, submits, and administers the annual DLR budget request. Responsible to acquire needed DLR and CLIX repair parts. Verifies availability and orders DLR parts as needed. Determines proper fund coding, prepares requisitions and forwards to source of supply. Insures part availability, receives part, stores, prepares Material Release Order (MRO), and forwards part to maintenance shops. Recovers damaged/unserviceable part, initiates turn-in procedure, prepares for shipment, packages and ships to depot, Aviation Classification Repair Army Depot (AVCRAD), or other appropriate activity. Maintains Document Control Register and ship-out log. Verifies that appropriate activity has received returned part. Reviews budget reports to insure returned funds are properly credited to DLR account. Incumbent establishes coordination and networking with other civilian and military agencies, for the purpose of acquiring required items and supplies. Those agencies include AVCRAD, Aviation Missile Command (AMCOM), Item Managers, civilian contract vendors, etc.

(2) Assists/performs the Property Book operations in the area of inventory and storage management, and equipment coordination. Ensures the property book sections periodically perform a visual inventory of all items. Maintains property book accountability utilizing an automated or manual supply accounting system. Establishes hand receipt files and maintains accountability by the use of hand receipt listings. Assures that all authorized property is on hand or has been requisitioned. Coordinates the assignment and transfer of inventory. Schedules, directs and conducts periodic inspections, to insure stock items are serviceable, properly stored, accounted for and maintained.

(3) Analyzes supply transactions or provides customer service for urgent critical shortage items and items requiring special handling when established procedures are not applicable. Codes and classifies requisitions, shipping orders, and other documents; extracts requests to other sources of supply or refers them to inventory control point when stock is unavailable or cannot be shipped.

(4) Within funding limitations determines stock replenishment levels for centrally controlled items. Assures that supplies and monies are not wasted through excess accumulation.

(5) Establishes procedures for management of calibration, testing of TMDE, and monitors tool room operations, to include accounting for, issuing and replacing tools.

(6) May oversee subordinates, when organization and workload does not support a full time supervisor, that are performing material and resource tracking (i.e., DLR, CLIX, and related budgets), special TDME/tool transactions and hazardous material accountability.

As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-7, this position is located in the Army or Air National Guard. Its purpose is to provide storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems.

(1) Performs routine and non-routine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.

(2) Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy. Items are less stable or standardized and do not lend themselves to routine control through the use of the computer and variable supply level formulas. Plans requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs. Authorizes procurement and is responsible for funds management.
