This Supervisory Transportation Security Inspector (Cyber) position is located in Region 3, Surface Operations, Security Operations (SO), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Implements programs to ensure surface transportation system owners and operators are aware of, understand, and adhere to TSA, government and industry introduced standards and recommendations.
• Implements cybersecurity outreach and oversight programs through engagement activities and resources to increase agency and operator efficiencies.
• Ensures the implementation of cybersecurity measures and controls that safeguard confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information system assets.
• Uses expert technical knowledge and experience along with judgment and discretion in applying standard inspection methods and techniques (e.g., surveillance, interview, document review, and testing).
• Leads local stakeholder implementation of cybersecurity measures and controls that safeguard confidentiality, integrity, and availability of operational technology and industrial control system assets.

Responsible for interpreting new legislation or regulations for determining the effect on delaying/implementing changes and oversees day to day project activities needed to streamline and improve financial system processes and/or functionality for multiple programs for all ESC's customers. Serves as control point for analyzing requirements to ensure standardization of system functionality, business processes, and compliance with federal financial system standards.

• Work with economists, transportation specialists, analysts, and other statisticians in conducting analysis to identify emerging trends in transportation and in broad social, economic, safety, environmental, technological, or national security areas related to transportation.
• Initiate and develop projects concerning survey requirements by reviewing transportation policies and legal mandates, and consider their implications for assigned data needs, as well as the results and designs of other current or previous surveys.
• Work with other statisticians in identifying and evaluating sources of statistical and other transportation-related data, and prepare proposals for the collection of new data as an adjunct to established data collection programs or for the preparation of special tabulations of data presently available in a form other than that desired.
