As an Aircraft Mechanic, WG-8852-10, you will:

Perform inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft to include periodic, phase, hourly, preflight, post flight, calendar, thru-flight, and special inspections such as fuel contamination, emergency equipment, and oil sampling.

Inspect and perform functional checks such as landing gear retraction and operation checks on hydraulic, electrical, pressurization, lubrication, de-icing, vacuum, induction, and exhaust systems.

Troubleshoot and perform unscheduled maintenance on assigned and transient aircraft, utilizing various gauges, meters, measuring devices and other related test equipment.

Remove and replace aircraft components such as control surfaces, engines, constant speed drive, engine mounted gear boxes, wing fuel tanks or cells, landing gear mechanisms, wheels, brakes and tires.

Service oil, fluid, fuel, hydraulic, and oxygen systems. Adjust and maintain installed equipment such as tow targets, hydraulic reels, and drive assemblies.

Perform user and organizational level maintenance on assigned support equipment, including inspection, repair, modification, and corrosion prevention.

Instruct, direct, and assign maintenance repair tasks to drill status guard members.

Complies with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations.

Prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations such as MEI, ORI, IG and UE inspections, mobility and command support exercises.

Incumbent provides advice to management on the procedures for testing, chain of custody, and the ramifications of a positive test result. Monitors the urinalysis collection process. Resolves issues in relation to problems encountered either in the chain-of-custody and specimen integrity process or with the collection site. Arranges with contractor's legal representatives to provide expert witness testimony in cases involved in legal hearings. Develops statistical data and analyses on the program. Ensures that training is provided to managers, supervisors, and their staff on specimen collection procedures. Monitors performance of the contractor and prepares necessary reports. Major duties and responsibilities include:

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position; to verify and analyze malfunctions, troubleshoot, calibrate, modify, test, align, inspect, repair, configure, deconfigure, and load assigned integrated weapons delivery systems; and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.

Duties:

1. Troubleshoots integrated weapons systems, electronic and electromechanical components, subassemblies, and test equipment to determine nature of malfunctions and corrective actions required. Loads and unloads, positions, arms, and safes all assigned air munitions on assigned aircraft.
2. Performs maintenance, repair, inspection, fabrication and modification of integrated weapons systems electronic and electro-mechanical components and their subassemblies. Plans and conducts training of reservists and other employees. Utilizes safety practices and procedures.

5. Performs pretest, operational, functional, and final testing of integrated weapons systems electronic components, AME and their subassemblies.

As a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-2130-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Serve as a Traffic Management Specialist, and Alternate Lead Contracting Officer Representative (COR) in the Personal Property Directorate.
• Facilitate development and implementation of new programs, evaluation of existing programs, and execution of operational activities to maintain integrity of movement and storage systems.

This Assistant Federal Security Director - Generalist position is located at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If selected, you will be responsible for supporting the Federal Security Director (FSD) by providing day to day direction for airport security and operations at airports with multiple checkpoints and a workforce.
