What do I need? - No experience is needed as a full 2-day technical service familiarisation seminar available, at a site local to you. You do not need your own vehicle and there is no initial outlay of any cost. We do however require the following (essential):

• Held a full UK Manual Driver Licence for at least 2 years (registered to your current home address).
• No more than 9 points on your licence (and no serious motoring offences).
• Aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes).
• Are punctual and reliable with a polite and professional demeanour.
• Excellent customer service skills.

What will I be doing? - You will be collecting a variety of different vehicles from clients, checking they are safe for you to drive and delivering these to the required destination. On some occasions you may carry out an inspection on the vehicles.

• Handling vehicles with care and professionalism.
• Keeping clients informed of estimated arrival time and any possible delays.

NATURE & SCOPE

You will be part of a team for the and correct utilisation, allocation and management of resources for delivering all work streams within a geographical area. DIMENSIONS:

• Times to site are kept to a minimum

• Liaison with staff on site to ensure customers are updated with the latest Estimated Time of Arrival (AOS) and Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR)

• Maintain minimum achievable restoration times

Customer:

• Liaise with field staff and update systems to ensure our customers are given up-to-date information regarding their jobs.

• Ensure that Electricity Guaranteed Standards are adhered to and correctly recorded.

• Liaison with customers to make appointments and provide updates on progress with jobs.

• Schedule resources to minimise CML impact and customer complaints.

Process:

• Safely schedule staff {direct and contractors).

• Update SAP and other systems promptly.

• Raise purchase orders promptly.

• Ensure that the scheduling systems are updated to ensure there is good visibility of all staff.

• Liaise with contractors to ensure compliance with section 74 of the New Roads and Street Works Act.

Are you the right person for the job?

• All applicants must hold a full driving licence with a D1 (D1/101 restricted) driving licence category (vehicles with between 9 and 16 passengers)
• A clean driving licence is preferred however minor points will be considered
• A good working knowledge of the local and surrounding area
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK

What will your role as a Driver/Cleaner look like?

• Deliver and collect hire vehicles to and from various locations in the local and surrounding areas
• Clean hire vehicles and complete any other role-related tasks

Training is delivered in the workplace and on block release to Remit/Daimler’s Automotive Academy in Coventry. There are a total of 16 x 1 week blocks over the 32 month programme. The costs of hotel accommodation, food and travel are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you.

What to expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we'll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you'll do, to where you will be delivering. You'll be loading and unloading and supporting team members in the branch and warehouse as and when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

What are we looking for?

• A valid 3.5t (Category B) licence
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it's not a necessity
