The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) involved in the removing, installing, troubleshooting, interrogating, overhauling, adjusting, testing, modifying, calibrating, and repairing of complex integrated aircraft pneudraulic systems and equipment on board conventional/nuclear certified aircraft supported by the organization and to provide
training to and evaluation of all assigned personnel, e.g., Active Duty, Reservist, Civilians, Contractors and foreign military as required in the accomplishment of duties set forth herein.

DUTIES:
Duty 1 - Conducts scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and periodic inspections on all pneudraulically operated systems on/off aircraft in accordance with established procedures.
Duty 2 - Performs troubleshooting of complex integrated pneudraulic systems of related on/off equipment for assigned and/or transient aircraft to include support equipment.
Duty 3 - Performs off-equipment maintenance and bench checks to support the repair cycle.
Duty 4 - Utilizes safety practices and tool control procedures to maintain a safe and clean work area.

Duties:

Serves as an advisor to management on matters that involve both critical technical and operational issues; development, design/development of aeronautical charts (visual, en-route & terminal) and related publications; coordination/integration of IFPs in the NAS; collect, evaluate and verify aeronautical data; or automated applications used by the organization ensures appropriate application of Federal Aviation Regulations, specifications, standards and criteria; performs cross check validation and analysis of aeronautical information data, documents, files or other media as requested in support of aeronautical information analysis; ensures Aeronautical Information Services products are coordinated and integrated in the NAS; initiates Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs); advises on the further development of automated data processing tools by identifying requirements, recommending priorities and suggesting adaptations to the system; performs acceptance testing on legacy application rewrites and new software applications; identifies potential issues and proposes recommendations for preventive action; assures that activities are efficiently carried out and that program objectives are effectively accomplished (end of cycle processing, integrity checks, etc.); resolves complex verification and coordination problems between all functional areas of Aeronautical Information Services and its user agencies/organizations and ensures cartographic requirements are met through the use of computer assisted mapping technology and map publication software.

Support the National Intelligence Manager (NIM) for Economic Security and Emerging Technologies (ESET) by facilitating integration of the Intelligence Community's analytic, collection, counterintelligence and supporting capabilities as the program director for global supply chains.

Support DNI, PDDNI, DDNI, and Office of Economic Security and Emerging Technologies (OESET) participation in high-level policy and partnership (private and foreign) meetings with talking points, background information, and the results of relevant engagements with IC agencies.

Support briefings to senior IC officials and other major stakeholders' collaboration progress, issues and challenges.

This Supervisory Transportation Security Officer position is located at Salisbury / Wicomico County Regional Airport (SBY), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSO), you will be responsible for mitigating actual and potential threats against civil aviation and other transportation modes. You will also perform and supervise in your area of specialty, which may include Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and Lead Transportation Security Officers (LTSOs) in the performance of all security functions related to the screening of people, property, and cargo through the use and application of procedures, techniques, and technology. In addition, you will make independent, security-based decisions using intelligence, critical thinking, experience, observation, and passenger engagement. Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting and supervising subordinate employees in conducting pre-board security screening of persons, their carry-on and checked baggage/cargo.
• Overseeing screening checkpoint(s) and/or baggage screening operations on a day-to-day basis to include equipment, personnel, and the scheduling and rotation of personnel.
• Participating in the development of new policies and procedures, and recommending changes in policy and procedures based on observation of work, as required.
• Participating in the development of strategic planning initiatives, workforce planning, succession planning initiatives, and other reports and documents for TSA and superiors.
• Engaging in continuous development of critical thinking skills necessary to mitigate security threats by identifying, evaluating, and applying appropriate situational options and approaches.
• Preparing various types of communications such as morning briefings, checkpoint logs, reports, and documents that are germane to the work performed.
• Developing incident information and reports for Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) and superiors.
• Serving as a member of the National Screening Force.
