The Head of Research will be confident leading the Research & Insights Department, managing & overseeing a team across two offices. The Job

• Responsible for providing assistance to the valuation and other reporting requirements in the Actuarial Department to support business needs.
• Support the computing of reserves and capital requirements for RBC2 solvency monitoring.
• Perform valuation projects assigned which may involve solvency, balance sheet and profit & loss management etc.
• Support new product assessment, including but not limited to reserving/solvency bases review, valuation modelling requirements etc.
• Responsible for maintaining local Model Governance standards as per bank's guidelines.
• Work closely with the group office and external Actuarial consultants, ensuring adherence to the bank's guidelines and statutory regulations.
• Review and provide justification of results for valuation and reporting purposes.

The Talent

• Minimally 6-8 years of relevant Actuarial experience
• Hands-on experience in Prophet is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills

Job Scope:

• Ensure compliance with internal control requirements including financial and operational policies and procedures
• Responsible for financial and management reporting
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and Group accounting policies
• Overseeing all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, and coordinate submission of tax returns, where applicable, with an external consultant
• Oversee and manage the Finance Team to ensure smooth flow and timeliness of financial operations
• Work with Country CEO/COO and across departments to engage HODs and teams to prepare and review financial budgets, forecasts and decisions where required
• Review and manage account payables and receivables on inter-company agreements

• Align and manage Finance Team to country strategies and goals
• Lead in the smooth incorporation of new process flows for incorporation of new services
• Create, test and review functional requirements and refine financial operating systems where necessary
• Process efficiency analysis for existing finance operations
• Manage the Credit Control function and the robustness and integrity of its processes
• Work with the credit control manager to attain collection targets
• Growth, alignment and training of staff
• Succession planning and coaching
• Participate and prepare for new projects, digitization efforts, new services as and when required
• Monitor process deviations and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Job Requirements:

• Min. Degree in any relevant field
• Min. 4 years relevant experience
• Chartered Accountant/ Certified Public Accountant would be an advantage
• In-depth understanding of SFRS(I) requirements and familiarity with financial and management reporting.
• Experience with SGX-listed companies is a significant advantage.

Role Purpose Statement:

The incumbent would be responsible for research and development efforts in Transportation management & logistics and developing innovative ecosystem at TCI Express Pte Ltd for its International & India Operations

Main Accountabilities:

Ø Develop and implement comprehensive R&D strategies to penetrate new markets and expand international presence.

Ø Responsible for India Operations & International Operations R&D regarding new technology initiatives & process improvements.

Ø Evaluate the prevalent trends, dynamics and market movements to grow business.

Ø Coordinate the development and implementation of the standards, practices, procedures, and tools in order to achieve operational excellence.

Ø Lead implementation of innovative logistics solutions for customers.

Ø Researching new technology advancements that supports logistics/transportation solutions.

Ø Responsible for implementing new technologies/processes and driving up the yield performance.

Requirements:

Ø Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

Ø 5-7 Years R&D experience in operations/ sales/ marketing.

Ø Ability to work with Foreign Offices in new Countries wherever we start our Operations.

Ø Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ø Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Salary : SGD 5000 per month ( including Employer & Employee CPF Contribution)

Working days : 4 days Work for Home and 2 Days Work from office(Saturday’s will be half day)

Work Timings: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
