Major Duties:
This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-11. Data for commodities and services are collected by conducting personal and telephone interviews with store managers and buyers, managers in auto dealerships, doctors, pharmacists, and other professionals. Data for the housing survey are obtained by personal visit or telephone interview with either property managers, tenants, or homeowners. The incumbent conducts the duties of this position in situations requiring written and verbal fluency in Spanish and English. Converses and writes fluently in both languages in order to communicate with various customers, as well as read and analyze documents containing Spanish language. Our academy is named after Sir Thomas Middlecott, who founded the first Free Grammar School in Kirton in 1624, and there has been a school serving our local community ever since.

About the role

• Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, knowledge-rich and ambitious curriculum for high attaining students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
• Maintain a highly purposeful and aspirational classroom culture with a calm, warm and strict set of behaviour strategies.
• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/Form Tutor.
• To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
• To contribute positively to an effective curriculum team and school staff team.
• The post requires you to teach students in the age range 11 to 16 and with others outside that age range as required for transition and outreach work.
• In carrying out these duties you will need to work in compliance with all Academy policies and procedures as set out by the Trust and Governing Body and the reasonable direction from colleagues with the relevant position of responsibility.
• You will have the role of Form Tutor, even when a form has not been assigned to you, and may be asked to carry out some or all of those duties if required.

Permanent, Full Time Teaching hours, 52 weeks per year
