Position Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer with earn our customers’ trust plays a pivotal role in leveraging their engineering expertise to drive the company for long term and provide technical support within the domain of mechanical machineries and services. This professional is responsible for utilizing their comprehensive understanding of mechanical principles and design to communicate effectively with clients, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions. The role involves merging technical proficiency with invest in people acumen to develop and maintain client relationships, identify opportunities, and drive revenue growth. The individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer service, to ensure the successful delivery of products and services that meet customer requirements. The role requires a blend of technical knowledge, persuasive communication, and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on equipment selection opportunities in the mechanical engineering field.
Major Responsibilities:
• Takes ownership of generating business, meeting predefined targets, and spearheading business development initiatives for sustained growth.
• Leads and coordinates cross-regional teams and internal personnel to effectively infiltrate key accounts, aggressively expanding and nurturing relationships.
• Engages with the applications team and sophisticated clients on intricate applications to translate precise customer requirements into tailored product designs.
• Offers support for complex applications, collaborates with the marketing team on quotes and technical inquiries, and frequently accompanies business leaders to significant customer meetings.
• Collaborates closely with the Business Development Manager to support various business functions such as sales forecasting, cultivating a robust business pipeline, updating customer relations management (CRM), and other essential activities as needed.
• Develops and manages an active opportunity pipeline for all assigned accounts, collecting comprehensive information about accounts, identifying key decision-makers, comprehending strategic business challenges, and leading the team in analyzing and prioritizing opportunities critical to these accounts.
• Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and exceed customer expectations.
• Ensures professional coordination and meticulous account planning while swiftly resolving any potential account ownership issues.
• Provides continual support to customers, ensuring they receive top-notch, high-quality customer service and may also assist in providing quotes.
• Monitors industry trends and evolving regulations to maintain competitiveness and compliance, providing technical and commercial support to both internal and external sales teams.
This role combines the finesse of technical knowledge with invest in people acumen, empowering the individual to cultivate and sustain profitable client relationships while ensuring the delivery of tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or suitable combination of education and experience.
2. 10 plus years’ experience in core field construction / equipment selection experience required.
3. Excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
4. Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Team player that’s reliable and enjoys working in a high-performance team culture.
8. Basic knowledge in any of the technical 3D software like Autodesk Inventor / PRO-E/ Catia / Solid works. Ability to read and interpret drawings.
9. Experience of managing major national accounts at head office level.
10. Strong account management and relationship building skills.
11. Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
12. Demonstrated record of achievement in a post-sales position.

14. Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
