Objectives of the position:

This role is for the Customer Quality Support for Company’s product distribution where Customer’s feedback & Product Quality requirements / issues are handled. The person will be responsible to handle Customers requirements such as complaints, test data & other technical information as requested. Customer complaints handling will also include the necessary communication with all the stake holders (Customer, Supplier, CS, PP, SVM, LOG). Skills & Qualification:

Opportunity:

Responsibilities

Safety Management: Overseeing and ensuring compliance with safety management systems, including the International Safety Management (ISM) Code.

Develop and implement safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and review incident reports to identify areas for improvement.

Quality Standards: It is the responsibility to establish the quality standards required by the company and to deliver products or services based on those standards.

This includes compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001), industry standards, and legal requirements.

Keep updating the company's ERP "KONeCT" as per industry's requirement.

Process Improvement: Promoting continuous process improvement is also an important responsibility. By utilizing the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle, efficient and effective processes are established, and ongoing improvements are made.

Risk Management: Identifying risks that could impact quality and taking measures to mitigate those risks is also part of the responsibilities in quality management.

Incident Investigation: When incidents occur onboard, conducts thorough investigations to determine the root causes and prevent recurrence. Analyse incident reports, collect evidence, and make recommendations for corrective actions to enhance safety measures.

Emergency Response: Plays a vital role in promoting safety awareness and providing training to crew members. Organise safety drills, deliver safety-related presentations, and ensure that the crew is equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle emergency situations.

Regulatory Compliance: Stays up-to-date with international regulations and industry standards to ensure that the vessel operates in compliance with applicable laws. Monitor changes in regulations, conduct internal audits, and provide guidance to the vessel’s management on maintaining regulatory compliance.

Job Details

• Verification of the SMS review the quality and effectiveness of the procedure.
• Ensuring that the company's safety management system is properly implemented and maintained on board the vessel.
• Ensuring that the SMS System works in accordance with TMSA requirements and keep updating TMSA operators comments.
• Ensuring the company's risk management system works to identify and mitigate potential risks along with the vessel operation.
• Drive PDCA cycle in company's safety system for further development of safety and quality culture.
• Keeping and updating the company ERP KONeCT in line with Industry demands/trend and standard.
• Manage external audit/ inspection such as vetting onboard inspection, office audit, ISO related audit Incident prevention & investigation including handling / follow up of P&I insurance matters arising out of the incident.
• Keeping Fleet Vessels in line with environmental requirements.
• Take initiatives to promote of safety culture on board/shore through conducting safety campaign, training and other assisgnment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year or more of Shore Experience required.
• Shore Experience in HSEQ Role for at least 2 years
• Minimum 10 years experience in the industry.
• At least 6 months onboard experience as a Master or a Chief Engineer.
• Good understanding of Ship Management withMaritime/ Technical knowledge.
• Knowledge of ISM, ISPS,EMS, Quality & Safety,Management System and STCW.
• Good understanding of EUETS / EUMRV and ensuring compliance with these regulations in the fleet.
• Understanding and communicating in Japanese language as 2nd language is preferred so as to liase with Japanese counterparts.

Responsibilities:

• Setting gauges and preparation /issuing of inspection sheets and gauging procedures
• Perform incoming check and verification of raw materials, customers supplied materials, sub-con operations and instruments;

• Perform final check on finished parts and routers/documentation/inspection sheet ensuring compliance to licensor’s / customers’ requirements

• To raise Non-Conformance / Incident Reports on discrepancy discovered
• To conduct internal process audit
• Responsible for maintaining the integrity of gauge room
• Responsible for ensuring work is carried out in accordance with documented procedures

Requirements:

• Relevant Industrial Quality Training Certification
• GCE ‘O’ level
• Min 1-2 years related experience within OCTG production environment
• 5CT / API Specification knowledge
• Gauging and measuring instruments knowledge and skills
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Ability to work under owns initiative with minimal supervision
