Your new role
As Global Technical and Quality Director you will lead an international team in the delivery of key strategies to deliver business objectives, meeting and exceeding customer expectations in food, and non-food, categories. You will continue the development of appropriate KPIs to understand performance in all relevant areas, and drive improvements through technical product innovation, compliance, and due diligence. You will lead and support all R&D projects, bringing market disrupting products and technologies into NPD pipeline, while also enhancing sustainability initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be proven in a similar leadership position, with strategic responsibilities for technical innovation, manufacturing compliance, human rights due diligence, and sustainability. You will be highly commercially aware with the ability to support commercial business objectives and performance, within an entrepreneurial and fast-moving business. Experience of FMCG products (ideally both food, and non-food), and working with high-street retailers and international suppliers (ideally including Asia) is a distinct advantage. You will be ambitious for yourself and for your company, and enjoy a fast-changing working environment where pace and urgency drive successful outcomes. You will have very strong people skills, and be able to influence at all levels. You will be required to test, inspect and maintain: emergency lighting, control panels, power supplies and various other electrical systems within retail stores across Bournemouth. You will additionally be responsible for attending breakdowns as part of a 24 hour call out covering the other stores across Dorset and the South.

I've been retained exclusively to recruit a new product team for a tech-first business that specialise managing investments for hedge funds, VC enterprises and private equity firms. They are insistent on working at the sharp edge of technology and will be bringing in 10-15 new tech hires over the next quarter. We are currently looking for Software / QA Engineers.You will be working hybrid in this role, with 3 days from their newly refurbished offices in Central Bournemouth, on commuting lines to London and 2 minutes from the Beach.

Your new role
This is an amazing opportunity and the ideal time to be getting involved at a Fintech company where software is a profit maker, not a cost. The VP of Dev does not compromise on equipment and tools to ensure they are ahead of the game.

You'll be joining a Scrum team of 8-10 people as they enter their next phase of expansion due to additional project work and strategic ambition from their new CEO. You'll work on supporting and testing their enterprise cloud-based platform which is a real differentiator in the market. The roles are Senior and will all entail a strong element of hands-on.

The mandate to scale is clear, but only with the right people. You'll be joining a really high-level team in a flat structure where your voice will be heard. Software QA Engineers here are involved in the full testing lifecycle.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have 5 years+ commercial experience in Software QA working in a product-oriented organisation.
You will have worked on the development or testing of web applications using REST API's and SQL Queries. The Development stack you've progressed from is agnostic (.Net / Java etc) but you must have experience with MS TFS, Jira, Confluence, TeamCity and GitLab.

An Agile mindset is absolutely crucial, with the ability to understand the requirements and translate them into acceptance criteria i.e. to be a contributor in the development and testing process rather expecting the list of test cases to go through.

You'll have deep knowledge of creating automated tests within framework, and capturing their output via JSON. Knowledge of Postman and Swagger is a bonus.

We are looking for Financial Services domain knowledge, or an interest and ability to understand this sector quickly.
