What the role is

The Quality Service Branch (QSB), under the Clean Environment Group (CEG), handles cases related to pollution control and wastes management matters. In this role, we are looking for highly-motivated, dynamic and service-oriented individual to handle feedback, appeal and enquiries related to pollution control and waste management related issues. In addition, you will perform a wide range of duties focused on monitoring trends, and data analysis on various types of feedback to support ground operations. You will report to the Senior Assistant Director of CEG/QSB.

You will work in partnership with line departments and operations sections within Pollution Control 1 Division, Pollution Control 2 Division, Environmental Monitoring and Modelling Division and Waste Management Division, to ensure effective handling of feedback and appeal cases received from members of the public and stakeholders.

What you will be working on

You will be responsible for the following:

• Draft reports and replies and handle all cases from People, Private and Public sectors, including complex and sensitive cases, on pollution control and waste management matters in accordance with guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures and within service standards
• Review feedback and collaborate with operations and/or other agencies to understand customer issues where required, to identify gaps in service delivery and drive improvements/changes to service experience, processes, policies, and standards, including communication strategies and replies to ensure relevance and realism to changing customer servicescapes
• Partner, support and contribute to platforms and initiatives aimed at driving service excellence within NEA, for example, service events, newsletter, initiatives, etc.
• Analyse feedback data and garner insights from customer satisfaction surveys to sense and sense-make, and to propose improvement plans.
• Identify key customer segments, provide department-perspective to develop service strategies to meet current and future requirements of the customer segments.
• Provide support and advice to officers on service-related queries, for example, guidelines/SOPs, service standards, case handling, direct cases to appropriate parties, etc.
• Document institutional knowledge on unique cases of feedback for training and future reference
• Identify staff and/or projects eligible for reward recognition and prepare documentation for service award nomination

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Owns the strategic planning and execution of the Transformative Marketing and Digital Marketing initiatives for the region. Drive revenue growth aligned with geography/vertical/product priorities defined in Commercial Growth Bridges, utilizing integrated marketing tactics driven by customer behavior in the purchase journey, lead generation and lead qualification actions continually optimized for impact and effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Build, develop, and lead regional team of Marketing professionals responsible for development and execution of lead generation, lead qualification, search marketing, social media, tradeshows, PR and other marketing communication activities.
• Owns the revenue target for Digital and Transformative Marketing in the region including the metrics for lead gen, lead conversion and opportunity conversion + the E-commerce revenue target for the region
• Leads and manages the Strategic planning process for the platform in the region including creating or refining strategic plans for sub-regions.
• Continually strives to develop a Center of Excellence in marketing communications, with strong focus on direct marketing, lead generation, lead qualification and opportunity management.
• Oversees the development of tradeshow strategies and schedules, and related promotional activities.
• Utilizes strong knowledge base to guide appropriate communication strategies, working closely with various global marketing teams like market research, vertical marketing and product management teams
• Define, manage and continuously improve Marketing team results/metrics including regular reporting of results versus plan, Visual and Daily Management of marketing performance & tracking campaign results for best practice sharing or improvement as necessary
• Define cadence for marketing team for meetings with the in-country Sales team to ensure opportunity management of marketing generated leads is effective

2. Conversion of leads to Opportunities

REQUIREMENTS

• MBA in marketing is preferable or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Worked for a business process-oriented multinational corporation
• Strong people management skills with experience developing direct reports
• 12 + years of experience in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets is desired
• Strong preference for business-to-consumer and direct marketing experience
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Word, Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint, and Acrobat
• Market segmentation, research and strategic skills
• Digital marketing understanding (at minimum PPC, SEO savvy even if not a technical expert)
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a large budget

TRAVEL (REQUIRED ESTIMATED % OF TIME): 25-30% (India, Australia, Thailand and Malaysia would be the key locations)

• Maintainence of Quality Management Systems and ensuring up-to-date compliance in accordance to relevant guidelines, regulatation and company policies.
• Ensure batch release/change controls/deviations/CAPA management/recall activities are being managed timely and effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 12-15 years' experience in the life science industry (such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and health supplements) within the quality function, demonstrating robust technical expertise in GxP.
