As a Theater Aerospace Operations Command an Control Officer, GS-2101-13, you will monitor and oversee the planning, organization, and supervision of all unit programs required by Air Force, Major Command, and ANG regulations in the training and employment of the force level Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) weapons system. The Operations Director must ensure AOC weapons systems personnel are capable of operating in a United States-only, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), or a tailored alliance environment. The incumbent requires mastery level knowledge of air campaign strategy, combat plans, and combat operations. Must be trained and able to function in a senior level position in a joint/coalition AOC reporting to the Joint Force Air Component Commander (JFACC) at the 3-star level. Accordingly, the incumbent must direct preparation for members to function at the operational level of war in an AOC. This responsibility mandates a working knowledge of all Air Force Weapon Systems and their capabilities, as well as a clear understanding of the systems and capabilities of sister services, NATO nations, and other coalition partners. This level of knowledge is required to sustain the development and execution of a daily Air Tasking Order for a minimum of 30 days at 500 missions per day. The incumbent directs and supervises a staff whose functions affect the day to day operation and administration of an AOC, which is the senior element of the Theater Air Control System (TACS). In addition to supervisory responsibility, the incumbent possesses rated or air battle management experience and maintains AOC positional certification. Must qualify for and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

• Under the guidance and direction of higher grade team leader, prepares contract specifications and technical exhibits for simplified contracts, as assigned by the team leader, and develop contract modifications for existing contracts.

Serves as a Operations Manager (OM) in a Large TRACON, responsible for planning and directing operations. The incumbent may be requested to provide direct support to the Air Traffic Manager. In the terminal option, the OM provides first-line supervision to assigned Operation Supervisors (OS) and Traffic Management Coordinators (TMC), if applicable. The OM provides second-line supervision to Air Traffic Control Specialists (ATCS). The OM is responsible for operational services of the facility including traffic management initiatives. Provides training, coaching, and guidance to subordinates and facilitates team building throughout his/her area(s) of responsibility. Integrates support resources with operational needs to maintain effective ATC service, and may work other than administrative shifts to meet this requirement. • YOU WILL/MAY:
• Ensure that regulated establishments produce a safe product by executing appropriate inspection methods, determining non-compliance with regulatory requirements, documenting noncompliance and initiating enforcement action, where warranted.
• Verify that meat and poultry slaughter and/or processing establishment's Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans meet regulatory requirements.
• Execute Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans effectively to prevent unsanitary conditions and adulteration of product.
• Review records, observe plant operations and conduct hands-on verification to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and prepare detailed documentation (Non-Compliance Records) of non-compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Determine when regulatory control action is necessary. You will assess whether the plant's corrective or preventative actions are acceptable and effective, if there are trends in non-compliance, or if enforcement action is warranted.

• Assure that products approved for import are in full compliance with all applicable Federal regulations governing the importation of meat and poultry products.
• Authorize entry of all meat or poultry products considered to comply with Federal regulations or refuse entry of any products which violate any of the requirements for admission into this country.
• Coordinate with other Federal agencies (e.g., the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on such matters as animal health restrictions and refused entry lots.

As an Ammunition Inspector (Title 32), WG-6501-08, you will perform the below duties:

1. Performs Ammunition Inspections pertaining to the receipt, classification, storage, issue and shipment of ammunition items. May receive shipments of all types of ammunition and verify DA form 1348 against Depot surveillance Records for correct NSN and Condition Code. Ensures commercial carrier delivering ammunition has been inspected in accordance with regulations and standing operating procedures. Verifies quantity of containers for accuracy of nomenclature, stock and lot numbers against shipping documents and signs for shipments. Receives turn-ins from using organizations, counts each item received and inspects for serviceability. Classifies material to assure compatibility of explosive items. Studies new material to determine how it functions, how it is constructed and compatibility for storage purposes according to technical manuals. Assures that off post shipments of ammunition by commercial carriers are in accordance with ammunition policies and procedures and in compliance with Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) and DoD regulations. Assures that ammunition is managed by class in accordance with established regulations.
2. Conducts inspection of ammunition being turned-in to determine suitability for further training needs. Takes appropriate steps in this disposition of CCH material. Ammunition Condition Reports (ACRs) are prepared and sent to item manager for disposition of restricted and/or suspended items. If disposition is determined to be locally demilitarized; contact designated EOD team and assist with demilitarization mission.
3. Prepares items for shipment to other depots and/or installations. Using the correct DOT regulations and packing requirements, makes sure all shipments meet DOT requirements. Items to be shipped are palletized and banded according to the hazard class division. Takes each pallet and establishes the correct weight and cube. Uses appropriate technical manuals, determines the proper name and UN number. Using this information, the appropriate 1348's are filled out and sent to Transportation Officer.Studies new material to determine how it functions, how it is constructed and compatibility for storage purposes according to technical manuals.Conducts observations and inspections of ammunition: In storage, inspects ammunition for corrosion from moisture and deterioration. Inspects for dents, loose detonators/fuses, discoloration and softness of dynamite and stains from nitroglycerin. Marks defective ammunition as prohibited for issue. Inspects ammunition of using organizations to determine its condition. Ensure that safety and storage requirements are properly observed. Responds to units which have misfires and/or malfunctions with ammo items. Conducts inspection of ammunition being turned-in to determine suitability for further training needs. Maintains a list of suspended ammunition and prepares listing for reporting excess to proper authorities for disposition. Assures suspended ammunition is withdrawn and no lots issued. Prepares condition reports on all bad ammunition, suspended lots, etc. Directs packaging, stenciling proper loading and blockage of excess ammunition.
4. Demilitarization Inspections. Monitors ammunition and explosive related operations at firing sites and demilitarization areas for adherence to regulations and procedures concerning explosives, compatibility, quantity distance, explosive and personnel limits, transportation and utilization of protective equipment. Inspects ammunition and components using appropriate Ammunition Surveillance Procedures.
5. Transportation Related Inspections. Inspects empty military vans and trucks to insure that carriers meet standards for transporting ammunition, explosives, and other hazardous materials. Performs inspections of incoming and outgoing vehicles for blocking and bracing, compatibility and compliance with applicable storage and out loading drawings security requirements, as well as compliance with applicable DOT regulations. Assists QASAS or designated representative in monitoring procedures for loading and unloading of ammunition onto or from military aircraft. Accompanies local ammunition shipments and receipt, when required to ensure safe and secure movement of material across public roads.
6. Inspects storage facilities for proper storage, packaging, warehousing, structural defects, cleanliness, ammunition compatibility and compliance with Quantity-Distance requirements or applicable explosive safety waivers. Inspects lightning protection systems for proper grounding. Inspects ammunition items in storage for container condition, presence of fumes, external deterioration and marking, reporting any discrepancies or unsafe conditions to supervising QASAS or designated representative. Spot checks accountability and stock accounting procedures.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Inspects a large variety of heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles such as attack tanks, large cranes, tank retrievers, fire trucks, bridge transporters, armored vehicle launched bridges, bulldozers, road graders, crawler tractors, power shovels, self propelled earth compacting equipment, self propelled artillery, etc. May also inspect heavy artillery, small arms, powered support and other equipment or components of equal or lesser complexity.
2. Inspects complex, interrelated mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and electrical systems, equipment and their components while in operation or in a standby condition. Inspects and performs tests to braking, steering, and differential systems, which are mechanically integrated with the transmission; to large engines that directly power multiple hydraulic and pneumatic systems; to intricate fuel injection systems; to turret stabilization systems; and to other systems combined in a single, complex mechanical assembly. 3. Inspects equipment to determine repairs needed. Utilizes established Maintenance Expenditure Limits (MEL) to evaluate economic feasibility of repair(s). Recommends to a higher echelon to condemn equipment when the repair cost exceeds the established MEL. Prepares lists of needed repairs, parts, and man-hours authorized. Performs in-process inspections to assure that equipment is being repaired in accordance with pertinent requirements. Performs final inspection, certifying that equipment is in satisfactory operating condition, or rejects the work and returns the equipment to the repair shop with specific reports prescribing additional repairs.
4. Inspects the full range of equipment as described above at remote worksites in support of field organizations, field units during field exercise training periods, or before major pieces of equipment are sent for repair to a supporting maintenance facility. Work Environment: The incumbent inspects and/or investigates both surface and underground mining operations as applicable, which is a very hazardous and stressful work environment surrounded by a high risk of exposure to potentially dangerous situations. In addition to the characteristically dark, wet, and cramped environment, underground mines contain noxious gases and fumes, and the danger of potentially explosive dust or gases, electrical fires, roof falls, and exposure to radiation.

Assist higher graded mechanics in the repair and/or overhaul of major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls.

Independently perform routine repairs and maintenance functions in remote locations that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems using standard parts.

Receive guidance and instruction from a higher graded mechanic or supervisor to perform non-routine and more complex repairs on portions of major assemblies and/or systems.

Conduct limited readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and associated equipment supported by the activity.
