• Conducts short, mid and long-term advanced planning for new and replacement NX assets, utilizing enterprise-wide computerized planning tools.
• Analyzes data to include projected lifecycle, down . time, repair rates, lost workload, cost, depreciation, trade-in value and other factors which impact procurement decisions.
• Requires significant interaction and coordination with service lines, biomedical engineering, and other stakeholders to balance competing priorities including clinical requirements, technological enhancements, and budget constraints.

• Manages and controls NX assets for a VA HCS and supported catchment area. Recognized as an authority on NX asset management and serves as a subject matter expert to all services and service lines.
• Acts as a central point of contact for the coordination of material support and the resolution of logistics problem across organizational lines.
• Acts as the focal point for all new equipment procedures.
• Makes decisions and commitments for the VA HCS and catchment area on equipment that materially affects the health care mission of Veterans.
• Researches opportunities for, and conducts analysis of potential cost savings, efficiencies, and process improvements using quantitative analysis and historical usage patterns.

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Responsibilities: 

• Directs and manages a team of inventory control warehouse associates to account for timely distribution and receipt of products and motivate employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are achieved. 

• Oversees all inventory control operations which includes; managing the flow of goods, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient and accurate warehouse operations.

• Oversees the completion of SOX Reporting requirements, participates in QA events, reporting and resolution of Inbound and Outbound discrepancy, processing of customer returns, error resolution, cycle count compliance, profiling assistance and service issues.

Responsibilities

In this high visibility position, The Senior Buyer/Planner is responsible for the day-to-day management of the materials planning and buying to support the company’s production needs and sales plans in a timely and efficient manner. Equally important, the incumbent will manage and optimize related inventory programs without negatively impacting production to gain the best use of working capital.

Essential Job Functions:

• Knowledge around purchasing products that tie to commodity markets, understanding and monitor market conditions for critical commodities/materials to determine opportunities and risk for price and availability as well as a high level of experience in Forecast Management

• Ability to utilize MRP/ERP and other planning tools to ensure a continuous supply of needed materials to support customer service level goals while maintaining targeted inventory levels

• Partner with the business to understand new product releases and seasonal trends to develop and maintain inventory levels in support of revenue and working capital goals

• Determining when forward buys are needed will be critical to managing costs

• Suppliers' point of contact to expedite shipments in tight supply conditions

• Ability to strategically assess the supply chain and provide recommendations to achieve a robust, cost-effective supply base that aligns with the Company’s growth plans

• Ability to maintain clear and effective communication channels, both internally and externally

• Achieve annual savings goals for managed category

• Partner with the Quality Department to resolve supplier quality issues as needed and act as the point person to resolve compensation as appropriate

Requirements:

• BS or BA Degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.

• 5 to 10 years of buying/planning of materials with experience in an ERP or MRP environment is required.

• MUST have experience in preparing import/export documents.

• APICS certification is CPIM or CIRM desired. CPM certification is also a plus. • Experience in Sourcing and Purchasing with foreign countries. Other key skills/abilities required: Communication skills (oral, written, and presentation), problem-solving/decision-making, judgment, team player, analytical/mathematical knowledge, management/leadership skills, coaching/training, etc.

• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and EDI and communication tools.

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Operating within a distribution center to research and analyze product velocity, location size, warehouse attributes, and ergonomic concerns

• Resolving item and location exceptions (Min/Max review, product moves, excessive tasking, etc.)
