Position Description: 
Leads the daily operations of the sales floor at a Retail Store location for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) in Arizona and Maryland to help fund the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment. Assists with leading production room as appropriate. Key responsibilities include people leadership, store operations, customer service, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, and training and development of store Team Members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of one or more sites.

• Develop customer relationships by identifying their storage needs and providing solutions.

• Improve sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.

• Guide new customers through rental processes and agreements

• Handle cash and balance receipts, pursue collections, post payments, and process daily bank deposits.

• Ensure the facility meets the highest cleanliness standards through general maintenance duties.

• Work independently on daily tasks as well as cooperate with team members and other stores in the area.

• Run errands for the facility and travel to other store locations.

Your Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer-facing employment experience.

• 1+ year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.

• Strong computer skills.

• Current, valid driver’s license with access to a reliable personal vehicle (except in NYC.)

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required, a college education is a plus.

• Ensure the execution of physical inventory and compliance with company data integrity processes.
• Assure that merchandise flow meets company set standards and closely monitor sell through.
• Perform store maintenance including but not limited to taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, maintaining stock room.
• Ensure compliance with all the Five Below Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Review all corporate communications and prioritizes/plans accordingly. 
• Achieve results without compromising quality or integrity of work and adhere to company handbook and policies as well as local, state, and federal laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including services.

Position Description: 
Leads the daily operations of the sales floor at a Retail Store location for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) in Arizona and Maryland to help fund the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment. Assists with leading production room as appropriate. Key responsibilities include people leadership, store operations, customer service, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, and training and development of store Team Members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
• Monitors product levels (floor work, as-is, recycle, trash, seasonal back stock) daily to achieve bottom line sales budget against targets.
• Ensures payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
• Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Works to de-escalate customer situations while finding an appropriate solution.
• Ensures store locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand appropriately.
• Partners with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission.
• Serves as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
• Leads the day-to-day operations of the sales floor.
• Ensures that Retail Store Associates and Customer Service Manager are well-trained and fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
• Acts as a key holder for the store, closing shift manager, and backup to the Store Manager.
• Processes complex sales transactions, including customer returns.
• Ensures that Team Members are operating per company standards and procedures.
• Will need to travel to other GCNA locations in order to assist other stores and to attend personal training and development classes.
• Transfers to different stores at any given moment due to business needs.
• Partners with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, etc.) to further business goals and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Builds a high-performing team.
• Responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members.
• Plays critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.

• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• One-year work experience in Retail Management required
