Platform Property Care has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Multi Skill Carpenter based in Herefordshire to join our Voids and Responsive Repairs team to help us maintain and improve our homes. 
What could you be doing?
You will be ensuring our customer’s homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard. You will be an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter who can carry out a range of multi skilled maintenance works such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, wall tiling, flooring, and decoration including major works.
You will work closely with the Service Manager in this area, to manage jobs from inspection, through carrying out the works independently and post inspection once works are completed.
You will thrive on giving great customer service, keeping jobs on track and possess the drive to make sure the work is completed to spec.   You’ll have full control of your job completion, inclusive of materials and liaison with customers.
The role is varied, and no two days are the same!   It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return you’ll have the support of a great team!
We want somebody who can:
A team player, you’ll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You’ll be working in people’s homes, so you’ll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication skills. You’ll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering good customer service. You will also own the work issued and be focused on Right First-Time delivery. 
Some things we need from you:
You will be qualified in Carpentry with associated trade skills of Flooring, Plastering, Tiling and Decoration
You’ll have the ability to demonstrate an expertise in these trades and be able to deliver and resolve a repair job from start to finish. 
• Experience of delivering Multi Trade work,
• You will be qualified to at least NVQ L2 Carpentry
• You will have good organisational skills and experience of keeping jobs on track 
• And the personal drive to ensure works are completed quickly, efficiently and delivered right first time 
• A full driving licence is essential as this is a mobile role, a van with fuel card is provided
• As you will be working within Customers' homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota as required.
This role is for a team based in Herefordshire so you will need to live here.

This is a full time 10 PA post required to cover locum Consultant vacancy and to meet the increasing demand for Imaging in the Trust. This post aims to support the general Radiology work across all out trust sites including CT, MRI and Ultrasound with candidates keen to develop subspecialty that compliments the skill mix of the department.

The successful applicant will join a team of 25 Consultant Radiologists each of whom provides a general radiological service including Plain film reporting, Ultrasound, CT and MRI as well as having a subspecialty interest. The successful applicant will be expected to work cross site and join the out of hour’s rota to provide evening and weekend cover. Overnight services are externally outsourced.



The principal duty of this post is to provide a comprehensive clinical service to patients.

We are recruiting for an experienced, senior operations manager to lead all aspects of the management of recycling operations, across x4 sites in Berkshire, reporting directly to the Managing Director

The successful candidate will be leading a team of 9 Plant Supervisors, managing approximately 30 different recycling & processing lines and a staff of 75 covering recycling and machine operatives, drivers, weighbridge operators & maintenance fitters.

Tasks & Responsibilities

The General Managers Operations role is diverse and covers a range of operational and management responsibilities:

• Recycling Processing & Site Operations – covering the day to day management of a large volume of recycling orders and materials across x4 sites. The successful candidate will have experience of working with Transport & Logistics, Weighbridge, Recycling Operations (various processes & machinery), Environmental Waste Compliance & Internal/Regulatory Reporting. The right candidate will have experience of developing technical and operational workflow process improvement proposals/budgets with senior managers.

• Recycling Operatives – HR Staffing & Team Management – covering all aspects of the HR staffing requirements for operational recycling staff & Team Management across 3 busy sites. This includes management of the Processing Lines & Plant Supervisors - daily to weekly customer order/workload management, processing operations performance management, issue identification and resolution. Liaising with MD, Plant Supervisors & HR re monthly to weekly staffing budget & requirements/weekly agency bookings.

• Management of Permanent and Agency Operational Staff - covering appraisals & salary reviews, agency timecards, staff absence, holiday & staff payments/attendance bonus/travel allowance. Strong working knowledge of operational employees’ contract terms and knowledge of HR grievance, disciplinary, dismissal processes required.

• Plant Supervisor & Operational Staff Training – management of all aspects of operational staff training covering technical, line and machine operations, health and safety (see below), environmental compliance and internal company staff training materials/logs and document management.

• Recycling Plant Machine Maintenance – working in conjunction with the Plant Supervisors & the Maintenance Team to ensure that any issues or faults across all plant and recycling machinery is identified, reported and fixed in a timely manner. The machine types include -Shredders, Conveyors, Granulators, Generators, Forklifts, Grabs, Hydraulics.

• Health & Safety – a key responsibility of the role is to manage all aspects of Health & safety across x4 sites covering safety awareness, working conditions & practices, training certification, HSE compliance, incident reporting & documentation.

• Site Security – ensuring that all site security, access, CCTV is managed in a secure and efficient manager, communication of risks, issues and incident logs are up to date.

In additional to the operational responsibilities the successful candidate will need to have experience working into Senior Management/Leadership Teams covering: management reporting, performance tracking, P&L management, finance and budgeting, risk and issue escalation & resolution, environmental compliance reporting.

• Internal Operational Reporting & Performance Tracking – covering preparation for and participation in workload/resource planning meetings with MD and management team, development of operational performance management reporting, metrics and KPIs, staff/team performance issues and solutions, forward planning for new lines/machinery and staffing as required.

• Internal Management & Financial Reporting – covering all aspects of team, staffing and HR management of all operational resource as above. Experience participating in existing and new customer workload forecasting, financial and budget planning, P&L management, operational, logistics, machinery budgeting/spend tracking and reconciliation.

Skills & Experience Requirements

• Minimum 8-10 years - in a Senior Operations Management role manging a range of internal teams/technical, operational and management stakeholders in waste, recycling, environmental, metals, aggregates, industrial & engineering related sectors.

• Staffing & Team Management – strong track record of managing large diverse, complex technical and operational teams in a busy working environment – covering team leadership, HR and operational staffing, problem solving, internal communication, risk & issue identification/resolution.

• Management Reporting – significant experience working with Senior Management and Leadership teams covering internal, operational workload reporting & performance tracking, P&L management and internal financial reporting/tracking, development of proposals/budget for technical, staffing and operational process improvement, participating in finance/budget forward planning, annual/monthly budget and spend tracking.

University Hospitals Dorset are looking to recruit a General Maintenance Assistant - Electrical (Shift working) to work as part of their Estates team on the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site.

The General Maintenance Assistant Electrical (Shift working) works as part of a team that covers the hospital electrical systems 7 days per week and is responsible for the day-to-day repairs, operation and first line response of the Trust electrical equipment and systems.

You will operate and maintain the Trusts electrical equipment & systems including but not limited to lighting and emergency light systems, fire alarms, nurse call and other electrical systems and equipment found in the healthcare environment, in an economic, efficient and safe manner, in accordance with legislation and agreed standards.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate an keen understanding of all modern general electrical maintenance activities, both reactive and planned; they will require a willingness to learn, be a dedicated team player and have a proven track record.

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Experience and Qualifications 
You don’t need experience to join our Cleaning Services Team. You may already be a Cleaner or Housekeeper but if not, that’s ok! We will provide the training and support required to ensure you are great at what you do.

As a Mobile Cleaning Supervisor at Sodexo in Bristol You'll supervise multiple sites and their cleaning services to create a safe and healthy environment. You'll interact with our clients daily, and you'll be improving the quality of life in everyone you meet!

What you’ll do:    

• Ensure completion of all requested/contracted tasks and motivate your team to effectively ensure these are completed in a timely and thorough manner.
• You’ll be provided a company vehicle along with a fuel card to visit different sites and assist your team to carry out a list of scheduled cleaning tasks.
• In this role, you'll be given a lot of responsibility to ensure yours and you're teams tasks are carried out within the timescales given.
• Use your own initiative in reviewing the impact that your team are having on you're site, as your leadership should pave the way of successful feedback from the client.
• Oversee the ordering of stock and consumables such as toilet tissue, cleaning products and appliances. Also ensuring that a record of this is kept for compliance.
• Be a champion of health and safety practices - spot a near miss? Report it to keep your colleagues safe!
• Ensure regular safety walks are completed, to pick up any hazards.
• Frequent feedback sessions with your team, to ensure they are confident and happy in their roles.

What you bring:

• Full UK driving license
• Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, as well as some team leading experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Can work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
• Be a team player and take instruction
