This position is responsible for directing and training supervisors in all facets including but not limited to production paperwork yields time and attendance discipline motivation turnover absenteeism safety problem solving etc. Accountable for areas of performance safety quality workers compensation turnover bid movement Team Member morale and other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 3 plus years experience in a supervisory role.

2+ years employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with processing floor operation is a plus; HACCP certification a plus understanding of basic HACCP principals and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification; knowledge of fresh meats processing a plus. P hysical Requirements: Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections; fixed ladders stairs steps etc. able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility; the temperature in most of the areas range from 28 - 45 degrees. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of management.

Special Skills: Team leader problem solving and motivation to take on special projects.

Supervisory: Responsible for all Production Operations at the facility; includes managing all production supervisors department production schedules product rotation CCP verification schedules and overseeing safety committee; includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop improve deficient areas.

Travel: Some travel required as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Strategy

• Leads analysis to identify, quantify or otherwise support long-term PGE strategic objectives.

• Leads analysis to support the identification of near-term targets consistent with PGE’s long-term strategic objectives.

Project Consultation and Planning

• Responsible for leading a single major project or multiple moderate projects. Types include, but are not limited to, business systems or process improvement, department reorganizations and strategy implementation, training, feasibility studies and pilots.

• Consults with operations managers to ensure strategic alignment, cost effectiveness and mitigation of negative operational and/or customer impacts of business initiatives and projects; works with project sponsor to develop objectives and scope; assists in or develops business  case/justification.

• Develops or oversees development of project plan(s) including WBS, schedule and cost baselines, dependencies and project roles and resource requirements; identifies project risks and mitigation strategies; partners and strategizes with Supply Chain, Legal, IT and project sponsor on vendor contract negotiations.

Team Leadership

• Leads multiple major projects/initiatives in completing strategic projects. Provides staff leadership to team members; facilitates team meetings, cultivates and reinforces group values, norms and behaviors; provides guidance and motivation to team on performance and productivity issues; ensures compliance with established project management methodologies and standards; takes corrective action as needed.

Project Controls

• Establishes and maintains formal controls to manage and monitor project budget, scope, quality, schedule and risks to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and effectively. Negotiates necessary project changes with project sponsor. Maintains, adjusts and updates project plans as needed.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Develops communication plans and strategies; provides timely, accurate communication of project plans and status to stakeholders.

Process Improvement

• Leads and/or facilitates business process improvement (BPI) activities; assists managers and subject matter experts to identify, understand and improve or revise processes, practices and policies; assists managers in establishing process controls in order to measure baseline and post-improvement performance to monitor success of improvement initiatives.  Acts as a change agent, systematically driving continuous improvement using lean, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement techniques.

Project Reporting and Documentation

• Ensures all project documents are catalogued and archived in a secure and efficient manner; documents and files all “lessons learned” along with all project artifacts.

Internal Collaboration

• Develops and maintains key relationships across the business, including with senior executives; provides subject matter expertise for project management and/or process improvement. Collaborates with, mentors and/or assists in training other PMs or leads to continually improve project standards and methodology

Qualifications

Education/Experience:    Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, communications, psychology or computer science or other related field or equivalent experience.  Typically eight or more years in project management or a related field.  PMP certification required

Senior Procurement Specialist – Third Party Risk & Supplier Engagement Program Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement, with a specific focus on 3rd party engagement and related systems, audit, process improvement, and project execution. The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team and have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

This role is responsible for Supply Chain’s Supplier Enablement, Supplier Performance and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) programs. PGE has many active suppliers that require oversight, management, communication, compliance and reporting across operational and regulatory areas.

As part of our TPRM program, this role is responsible for tracking, overseeing, and reporting on data elements across numerous risk domains covering financial, contractual, quality, regulatory, safety and technology risks, and setting thresholds for acceptability. This ensures that the organization has and maintains effective oversight, control, and compliance over various operational and regulatory obligations.

From a supplier engagement perspective, this role is responsible for key outreach, adoption, compliance training, and support of our external partners as it relates to our Procure-to-Pay risk management processes, including triage and support of issues as they may arise. This ensures timely, efficient, and cost-effective transactional interaction with our supply base across all lines of business.

Finally, supplier performance management responsibilities of this role include identifying, segmenting, coordinating, collecting, and reporting on supplier performance results across numerous supplier segments and lines of business.
