Service and Project Management Responsible for the operational management and coordination of the core professional support and development services delivered across the workforce arm of the Medical Directors Office, including medical appraisal and revalidation, job planning, and performance based reward schemes. To develop, establish and oversee the maintenance of robust and integrated service management and administrative systems and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation of the services across the Trust. The Professional Support Services team within the Office of the Chief Medical Officer at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS foundation trust wishes to appoint a Deputy Manager for the Professional Support Services team, which support and deliver the Revalidation, Job planning and appraisal function of the CMO office. The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service.

The Deputy Manager - Professional Support Services is responsible for managing robust and effective systems and processes to support the deliveryof the suite of professional support and development services delivered by the CMO Office, including medical appraisal, job planning, performance based awards schemes and other workforce related programmes of work.

As a key member of the service delivery team within the office, the post holder will manage a comprehensive and high quality project and service function in line with national policy requirements while continuing to meet the changing needs of the Trust’s medical and dental professionals. Importantly, they will provide critical management support to senior leadership in delivering against external reporting requirements and emerging programmes of work at national and local levels through the interpretation of guidance and the development of aligned processes.



This post holder will work within a multidisciplinary team and will require well developed organisational skills and the ability to handle queries in a sensitive manner. The role requires the exercise of initiative, and will include the deployment of sound judgement, problem solving and process focused skills in order to coordinate and report on a variety of time limited projects linked to the development of new processes.

  Your Role

  • Responsibility for contract /cleaner performance to achieve and exceed contract SLA and KPI

As the Technical Cleaning Team Manager at our cutting-edge Omega Distribution Centre, located at the Omega Business Park just off Junction 8 of the M62, you will lead a team of Technical Cleaners to ensure optimal performance of the warehouse’s automated systems through the maintenance of high cleaning and health and safety standards. Your primary focus will be to minimise downtime of the automated systems by delivering scheduled and reactive cleaning activities while ensuring compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures.

In this role, you will oversee the team's daily activities, ensuring compliance with cleaning schedules and KPIs, while also managing stock levels and equipment maintenance. You will be responsible for training and developing your team, ensuring all operations are carried out safely, particularly when working at height or in restricted spaces.

Working closely with the Facilities Manager and the wider team of Building Maintenance Engineers, Automation Engineers, and other departments, you will drive continuous improvement and efficiency across all cleaning functions within the facility.

Job Overview

• Cleaning Operations Management: Oversee the technical cleaning team's daily activities, ensuring all cleaning tasks are delivered as per the facilities maintenance schedule (ARMS) and KPIs.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safe systems of work and health and safety regulations, particularly when working at height or in restricted areas.
• Training & Development: Conduct inductions, refresher training, and ongoing coaching to ensure the technical cleaning team meets performance and safety standards.
• Resource & Rota Management: Plan and prioritise resources to meet scheduled and reactive cleaning needs, ensuring standards are maintained and costs are managed effectively.
• Team Performance Management: Review the team's performance, conduct, and cleaning standards, providing feedback and support for continuous improvement.
• Stock & Equipment Maintenance: Manage cleaning stock levels and monitor equipment maintenance to ensure readiness and compliance with standards.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with Automation Engineers and other teams to coordinate access for cleaning tasks and maintain smooth warehouse operations.

Minimum Criteria To Apply

• Experience working in an operational cleaning function, with experience in logistics or distribution environments preferred.
• Proven experience in supervising or managing teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and guide team members.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Analytical skills to assess and improve cleaning performance and efficiency.

Outpatients The Assistant General Manager will have oversight for the day-to-day management of all operational issues across Evelina London Childrens Hospital Outpatient Department, lead on a programme of improvements across the service and work with services to manage and develop their network portfolios (a key strategy at the Evelina London).
