Job Description

To provide or assist with the provision of a full and comprehensive janitorial service within the relevant location and to undertake the cleaning of designated areas within the premises and ensure that they are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.

Duties include to ensure the security of the premises and its contents. Ensure the lighting and heating of premises (including maintenance and operation of plant).

Oversee and supervise cleaning staff as required. Within designated areas of premises (which may include toilets and shower areas) carry out cleaning, washing, sweeping and vacuum cleaning duties using approved cleaning agents and equipment.

PROVIDING ADMINISTRATIVE AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT TO THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT OF THE ORGANIZATION

*This position is full time and based at our South Elmsall Distribution Centre in Yorkshire*

As a Distribution Centre General Manager you will be responsible for the cost effective management of all Warehousing and Distribution operations and associated activities. You will lead the improvement of customer service through operational efficiency and look at reduction of costs whilst ensuring that the distribution centre operates efficiently, safely and legally.

Strong people leadership skills are a must for this position. This role requires someone capable of working under pressure, displaying a good analytical approach to work to deliver business results and to achieve performance and service levels.

This role will have over 300+ indirect reports and 4 direct reports- including a Operations Support Manager, a Warehouse Operation Managers, a Transport Operations Manager.

As the DC is a 24/7 operation, there will be the need to be flexible for occasional weekend and night work.

This role has a company car allowance.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Manager with previous Warehouse and Transport background as the role will oversee all operational activities for a fast-moving Distribution Centre. Candidates will require strong leadership skills and have extensive people management experience as they will be leading a large team of c.300 people. Working within a team environment, the successful candidate will work to achieve operational KPIs to tight deadlines and drive improvements by engaging the team in promoting a positive people culture.

Supporting your direct reports with their functions; Transport, Warehouse, Health and Safety and Facilities.

Ensuring the depot stockholding facilities are created to maximise depot distribution capacity.

Development of people, to ensure the continued performance and growth of the business

Accountability for ensuring any new initiatives are implemented and achieved in accordance with company guidelines.

Preparing, managing and controlling DC capital and revenue budget. To ensure that the most cost effective methods of operations are used whilst achieving the level of service to stores as agreed with the client.

Ensuring the RSC is adequately staffed to receive stock and manage the despatch to stores, meeting the high quality standards demanded by the business.

Ability to manage stocktakes and audits within the agreed deadlines

Monitoring all onsite contracts to ensure they provide high quality service in a cost effective manner and within budget.

Monitoring a full site security operation to ensure adequate protection of property, equipment and stock

Key Capabilities:

• Commitment and an ability to work under pressure
• Excellent people management skills and the ability to develop self and others
• Experience of applying a working knowledge of relevant legislation, e.g. Health & Safety, Employment Law, Discrimination etc.
• Ability to effectively plan labour and resource to deliver operational requirements to a timely manner whilst meeting agreed KPI’s and Service Levels
• Able to identify problems and provide effective business solutions
• Effective team worker and confident and positive communicator
• Experience in negotiations within an unionised environment

Essential Skills

• Demonstrate high levels of initiative, focus, proactive approach, commitment and flexibility
• Excellent understanding of multi temperature warehouse / transport procedures and compliance
• Experience of volume, cost planning and budgeting
• Senior Management experience in a FMCG environment of at least 3 years
• Microsoft 365 office knowledge and use

 - Coordinate to supplier management related to General Affairs topics.

3) Documentation PO and document purchase department. (Able to use SAP system for Purchasing system) to keep the agreement follow up expire date & renew (all agreement related to GA functions)

4) Communication to varity of customers. ( email information to internal and external)

- Conduct information for HRL policy realted GA function.

5) HRL representative to support 5S, system audit preparation such as ISO14001, ISO45001, IATF16949 and customer audit related to GA topic.
