We are offering a $2000 sign-on Bonus and an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and efficient office setting.
Provides triage screening to individuals presenting at walk-in clinic. Helps direct people to mental health/substance use services. This is a fast paced, in-office position with minimal documentation, no active case-load, no billable requirement, and no on-call responsibility. This QP is responsible for orchestrating the movements of individuals through the triage and intake processes. The ideal candidate is organized, person-centered, attentive, quick-thinking, empathetic, calm under pressure, and works well as part of a team.
Bonus: $2,000
Bonus is for full time employees and paid out according to training schedule.
Pay Range: $20 - $22 / hr
Schedule: Full time. Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
In this dynamic and rewarding role, there is an emphasis on creating interventions that are strength-based and focused on promoting recovery, symptom reduction, increased coping skills, and achievement of the highest level of functioning for the client in the community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Screening all walk-ins for behavioral health needs
- Assessing for immediate level of care and ensuring appropriate linkage
- Coordinating with clinical staff and enrollment specialist
- Supporting individuals in creating crisis plans as needed
- Coordinating crisis services where appropriate to support individuals in crisis
- Documentation
- Follow-up communication to ensure disposition
- Follow-up with hospital discharges to ensure continuity of care
- Organization and independence
Job Requirements:
Candidates for the Behavioral Health Specialist role are considered “Qualified Professionals" based on the following criteria:
Education:
- Bachelor Degree (Not Human Services field) & 4+ years full-time experience with population served
OR
- Bachelor Degree (in Human Services field) & 2+ years full-time experience with population served
OR
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification
Definitions:
- Human Service Degrees Include: Social Service, Sociology, Psychology, or other Human Service Degrees.
- Populations Served Include: Mentally Ill-Child, Mentally Ill- Adult, Substance Abuse-Adult, Substance Abuse-Child

- Drug testing
- Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
