Estate Technician

We are looking for an Estate Technician to join our Estate Services team based in Weston-Super-Mare and covering various sites in the area. This is a lone working role carrying out general cleaning of communal areas and grounds maintenance within a number of sheltered housing schemes along with some compliance testing. A van and tools will be provided to assist in this role. Development opportunities are available within the team for you to develop your skills and career.

The role of Estate Technician will include:

- Cleaning the communal areas of Housing for older people schemes
- Completing grounds maintenance such as grass and hedge cutting
- Carrying out weekly fire alarm and emergency light testing
- Completing daily work records and maintaining stock levels
- Ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a useable condition
- Providing accurate information and updates on the progress of allocated work


Skills and experiences:

- Some practical experience in compliance testing and operating hand tools and light machinery an advantage
- Working knowledge of health and safety regulations

An automotive re-manufacturer is currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their ever-growing team. The company has been supplying major OEMs for more than 4 decades. The business started off with a focus on front & rear-wheel drive manual transmission and growing into a centre of excellence for re-manufacturing. Your new role
As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be expected to maintain and improve the efficiency, development and progress of the manufacturing process lines and facilities. Working closely with other technical professionals, you'll improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of machine breakdowns and provide input to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes. You will be reporting to the Commercial Engineering Manager.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Maintenance Engineer role, you will have excellent design and manufacturer skills like welding and general fabrication, able to manufacture parts on manual machine tools, i.e. Lathe, Vertical Mill etc. You will also have knowledge of engineering materials to allow selection of appropriate materials. You will also need to have the ability to read engineering drawings, knowledge of programming and using CNC Machines would be preferred.

What you'll get in return
Upon securing the Maintenance Engineer role, you'll be offered a salary of up to £37,000; dependingUpon your experience, in addition to your salary, you'll also receive a numberOf benefits.
