Key Responsibilities for a Technical Trainee:

1. Assist in machine installation, upgrades, and related activities.

2. Assist in machine performance monitoring during trial operations to ensure proper functionality.

3. Team up with Senior Engineer to identify and report irregularities, such as unusual noises or performance issues.

4. Assist in diagnose and troubleshoot machine faults under supervision.

5. Report production metrics and machine issues to the supervisor.

6. Maintain logs of machine performance, issue, and repair activities.

7. Follow all workplace safety protocols accordingly.

8. Carry out ad-hoc task instructed when needed.

This position is duty-stationed in Mammoth Hot Springs in the Division of Facility Management and Operations. Primary responsibilities include:

• Install and repair heating and HVAC systems
• Set up, purge, remove, and install underground storage tanks
• Install and repair sewer systems

• Must possess an Environmental Protection Agency 608 Universal Technician certificate at time of hire.

What you’ll do:

• Be part of a multi-skilled team of 8 craftsmen and 4 assistants, working on a 24-hour rotating shift pattern.
• Use specialist knowledge, training, and experience to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of complex plant, equipment, and control systems across the hospital.
• Carry out a variety of planned and emergency mechanical/electrical tasks to a high standard.
• Work efficiently while adhering to Health and Safety, Infection Control, and Permit to Work policies and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies by carrying a pager and mobile phone, prioritizing calls for timely action.
• Communicate with other hospital staff, via Help Desk or directly from the hospital switchboard, to address urgent issues (e.g., fire alarms, lift trappings).
• Work under pressure in emergency situations, ensuring safety and preventing injury or damage.

What you bring:

• Fully qualified Electrician holding a City & Guilds/NVQ qualification to 18th Edition IET Regulations, or equivalent.
• Experience repairing plant and equipment, as well as the ability to fault find, read drawings, diagnose, and repair equipment using your technical knowledge.
• Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines, along with good organisation skills
• Great communication skills, strong teamwork, and a positive attitude
• Capable of working as part of a team or unsupervised, and of remaining calm under pressure

The role will ensure value for money is achieved in settling disrepair cases, coordinating with the repairs partnering and legal teams, as well as with residents.
The Litigation Coordinator will handle a portfolio of cases, working closely with contractors and legal teams to ensure that disrepair cases are resolved promptly, while maintaining a high standard of service for tenants and leaseholders, and accurate record of the repairs history for individual repairs cases.
The role will ensure accurate monitoring of repair cases, including repairs history, expenditure and financial forecasting on legal disrepair cases, and enable informed decision making to effectively manage the overall disrepair programme, including prioritization of disrepair cases.
