Housing is available for purchase in a wide range of prices from $100,000-$500,000. Rentals range from $800-$3,000 per month but can be difficult to find. Snowfall averages between 150 and 200 inches per year. During April through October, this position is required to live and work in Isle Royale National Park, approx. 70 miles by water or sea plane from Houghton. Isle Royale is a large, remote, isolated island in Lake Superior and is 99% federally-designated Wilderness. Transportation for visitors, employees, and their families, as well as mail, groceries, and other supplies are provided via the park's ship. Government housing is furnished on the island at no cost to the employee during the operating season. There are no roads, limited amenities, and limited opportunity to travel to the mainland. Pets are prohibited.

Physical Demands:
Physical effort is heavy to moderate and requires occasional lifting or handling of objects or materials up to 50 pounds, unassisted, following proper lifting procedures to avoid injury. Frequently required to stand while working, climb ladders or scaffolding, and bend, stoop, climb, and work in awkward positions.

Working Conditions:
Exposed to a variety of seasonal weather conditions while working outdoors (temperatures -40 to 90+ degrees). Subject to danger of falling from ladders or scaffolding. • Responsible for vouchering and payment processing using the invoice payment processing system (IPPS) to ensure payment is proper and timely.
• Ensure all processing rejects are resubmitted within 24 hours of identification.
• Verifies payment documents against the accepted document listing (ADL) the following day after payment processing to ensure the correct payment amount.
• Processes vendor inquiries, researching payment records and providing timely information and/or corrections as necessary.

The Facilities Manager is a key role accountable for the management of total facilities services across our two hospices and our retail sites. They will be accountable for the fabric of the hospice buildings and tangible assets, including short, medium and long term planned preventative maintenance, contract and contractor management, security and energy sustainability. They will be the nominated competent person ensuring health and safety legislative and policy compliance. A key focus of the position is to deliver safety excellence, drive operational efficiencies and provide management information to the Executive Management Team. The Facilities Manager leads the development of a high-performing team of technical employees, who can provide exceptional levels of customer service across all of the Charity work locations. This includes embedding a culture of efficiency and collaboration that aligns to the Charitys values. Facilities Develop and implement a programme of planned maintenance for all of the Charity locations, including retail stores, to ensure that the premises and the equipment within are fit for purpose, maintained in a serviceable condition, meet relevant safety standards and are in good working order. Develop a charity wide asset register to demonstrate condition, life cycles and service intervals to be used to drive facilities budgeting and forecasting. Develop and utilise the facilities system to be a leading tool demonstrating the completion of maintenance tasks for premises and equipment as well as remedial actions, compliance recording and auditing Coordinate and control all building works and refurbishments, planning for minimum disturbance to the patients, visitors, customers and employees. Ensure the Maintenance team carrying out routine monitoring and repairs on all buildings and facilities and engage external contractors where necessary. Job Brief
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Fire & Security Technician to lead our technical help desk. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support and ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire and security systems, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires an experienced, flexible and highly motivated individual who is capable of working under their own initiative and as part of a team.

This is a team-based role, but the ability to work confidently and effectively on your own initiative will be paramount. You must be well presented, a quick learner, and able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

Contractual Information
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Office Based
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm with a 30minute unpaid break for lunch
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000
Sign-on Bonus: 10% of the annual salary (2.5% after successful completion of 3-month probation, further 5% after 6-months and remaining 2.5% after 1-year). Subject to qualifying terms.

You will receive 22 days of paid holiday plus all UK statutory Bank Holidays, which increases with time served. You will also be auto-enrolled onto the workplace pension scheme after successful completion on 3-month probation, which you can opt out of should you choose.

Responsibilities & Duties
• Develop and implement procedures for timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
• Monitor and analyse technical support metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex technical issues and ensure seamless customer experience.
• Provide technical support and expertise to customers and team members.
• Keep up-to-date with new technologies and industry standards.

Experience
The candidate should have 8 years solid fire and security background and should:

• Have proven work experience as a technical support supervisor or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of fire and security systems, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Have comprehensive knowledge base of multiple manufacturers equipment.
• Be able to identify and rectify faults across all disciplines.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to think strategically and implement effective solutions.
• Good understanding of industry regulations and standards.
• Have good IT skills: MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.

The Integrated Decontamination Team is responsible for ensuring the provision of appropriately decontaminated and quality assured surgical, endoscopic, and other sterile instruments to the Trust’s Theatre complexes, endoscope suites, outpatient’s departments, and other user locations.

Team the Integrated Decontamination Team Assistant may be required (with suitable notice) to work shifts at either of the sub teams for the Receipt and Distribution units. Shifts are Monday-Friday 07.00-15.00 and 13.00-21.00 some weekend working.

• To receive, return and distribute Sterile and contaminated re-usable surgical instruments to and from clinical departments throughout the Trust.
• To carry out robust quality checking of all items after delivery from external supplier and prior to release into Trust Sterile Storerooms.

• Occasionally visit the external decontamination supplier to gain or refresh their decontamination knowledge by participating in Trust instrument decontamination processes.
• Ensure good housekeeping is observed at all times.

Job Summary PURPOSE OF JOB: To undertake decontamination duties and assist colleagues and Supervisors in providing the specialised decontamination of medical devices which contribute to the clinical care of the patient. To carry out the receipt, disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, inspection checking, packing and sterilization of reusable medical devices. Record all tasks in the Healthcare Science Information Systems (tracking and traceability database). Work in accordance with the Department’s standard procedures, Work Instructions and the Quality Management System. Plan your own workload with limited supervision and the role involves exposure to blood and body fluids. Role & Responsibilities 1. Perform a thorough damp dust of work areas prior to commencement of work 2. Accepting used surgical instruments into the department ready to be reprocessed. 3. Correctly loading the washer-disinfector and autoclave to ensure effective decontamination of the entire load. 4. Ensuring a full inspection of the load is carried out prior to packaging the instruments for sterilization. 5. Packaging instruments, when applicable, in accordance with Hospital policy. 6. Ensuring all machines complete a cycle within accepted HTM 01-01 and HTM 01-06 guidance and passing the load to be released. 7. Recording and reporting any failed runs to the Decontamination Lead. 8. Reporting any problems/ missing instruments to the Supervisor as soon as possible. 9. Inspecting all sterile packages for integrity once the load has cooled sufficiently and returning any compromised packages to be re-packaged and re-autoclaved. 10. Returning decontaminated goods back to respective departments as soon as possible. 11. Ensuring all items passed through a decontamination process have a traceability label attached/available. 12. Ensuring all relevant paperwork within the department is completed. 13. Undertaking daily checks of all machinery as per HTM 01-01 and HTM 01-06 guidance and keeping records of the checks. 14. The post holder will participate in the Sterile Service Technician shift rota, including weekend, on-call rota. 15. Demonstrating good communication skills within the multi-disciplinary team 16. Ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained within the department. 17. Accepting and processing equipment from outside agencies/other hospitals for use in Fairfield Hospital then, subsequently reprocessing and returning the equipment to the supplier. 18. Will be required to achieve NVQ level 3, City and Guilds or Decontamination qualification in agreed time. 19. To operate decontamination equipment in accordance with all safety requirements and manufacturers requirements Clinical Practice Ensuring the correct Personal Protective Equipment is used when undertaking specific tasks. Reporting incidents/occurrences using established methods and procedures. Participating in clinical trials Participating in clinical audit & carry out testing of equipment validation and testing Education Ensuring all relevant mandatory training provided by the hospital is undertaken on a yearly basis. Ensuring training on all machinery used within the department is undertaken.
